The part that was confusing to me was how else would it be played if not from hand? I guess you could play it from deck somehow (off-hand I can’t think of how). It makes sense now bc of how RDT gave an example of how it’s similar to Woes. It was just throwing me off with the “if played from hand and each upkeep” part.

Thanks for the responses. 👍

--- Quote from: 777Godspeed on April 07, 2019, 10:18:24 AM ---I was re-reading some articles on LoR and this jumped out at me as being, potentially, really confusing because of the recent discussion of SI vs. Unsuccessful (Pi), Gam's Speech etc.

False Dreams - Gray/Brown, TC, -3/3, SA - Place in territory: When played from hand and each upkeep, you may name a card and restrict players (except players that control an evil prophet) from playing that card from hand for one round.

Here we have a "Place in territory" immediately followed by a "when played from hand". I see this a being able to cause all sorts of confusion. Is it possible to adjust this wording?

Everything after a : is reliant upon (and cannot activate unless) everything prior to the : is true. Does that make this seem more clear?

I wasn't confused, just talking out loud about if there was confusion about Gam's Speech being used during SI from hand, this could cause even more confusion with the "Place in territory" immediately followed by "When played from hand". But, if everyone is good disregard this post. Jedi business, there is nothing to see here.  ???

Godspeed,
Mike

The "When played from hand" part exists because so does this guy:

False Leaders can play it from Reserve or Discard.

And if False Leaders does play it from Reserve/Discard, would the targetting need to wait until the next upkeep?

If we had a similar wording on a Good OT enhancements, and a Priest played it off of Table of Showbread ("as if from hand"), would you get the initial "from hand" targetting window or is "from hand" different than "as if from hand"?
