When a card says something like "discard a demon in play...." does it have to be classified as a demon or just an evil character?
-
Not all evil characters are demons. You'd have to choose an evil character classified as a demon (a non-human non-animal character) like Abaddon the Destroyer, Que, or Prince of Greece.

Wow Tim, who uses any of those? ::)
-
But Abaddon the Destroyer is just so "bad." Not bad "bad," but good "bad," like the Power Glove. He's even got "bad" in his name.
Tim Maly claimed once that he had a great multiplayer Que/Mist/Demonic Mist deck. I think he was joking though.
I've thought about using Prince of Greece in a Greek deck. The orange one, not the brown one.

Newer cards (Angel wars, Kings and prophets) will say at the bottom of the picture if they are a demon. Otherwise, you will have to look at the picture and make your best guess.

Wow, if you consider Prophets new, what do you consider old? :P
I would say at least 80% of demons will have "Demon," "Spirit," "Beast," or "Prince" actually in the card title. All of the EC's with those names are demons. If a character does not have one of those words in the title, it will have "DEMON" in the identifier. All demons will have one of these, and if an EC doesn't have any of these, it is not a demon.

Warriors prince of this world isn't a demon? sweet!

So...you didn't read my post?
-
In the case of older cards sometimes you have to go back to the source, the Bible to see what they are. I mean you could look up every card in the REG, but sometimes I enjoy checking cards against the source of our game. ;)
-
There's also a list at http://redemptionreg.com/REG/gloss_demon.htm (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/gloss_demon.htm) that doesn't yet include TP.
-
But but but the bible is cooler than the REG.

Missed the "prince" part, my bad :) I even missed it the second time I read your post, for some reason... I think I need vision correction.

Boo I say Boo! Angel Wars was the source of the pics not the characte... (remembers eli, kira, and friends) ... oh who am I kidding. But every things else is from the bible, remembers the emperors, GRRRRRRRR! Okay most of cards are from the bible ;)
-
But does most mean the greatest or more than anything else?
-
Some cards are from songs instead: Separate Ways, Entertaining Angels, Gathering of Angels (Come Sail Away)
-

Is TLG trustworthy? do they get their cards from Cactus?

Is TLG trustworthy? do they get their cards from Cactus?
TLG is completely trustworthy. They've been around as long as there's been a market for individual Redemption cards. They changed ownership a couple years ago but the quality of the cards or service hasn't changed at all. Ken Locklin currently owns/run TLG. He has an outstanding reputation in the Redemption community.

Ok I'll look into getting some TeP packs then ;D Thanks for all your help everybody!
