I don't know what the defense is, and my version of the offense is probably too big so it's not the S Rank. Also let's be honest it builds itself.

I have to disagree with where Babs and Phillies are. I would say Phillies are at least a B, and babs are at least A. Coliseum adds a lot for babs, making them much better, and there is a lot of versatility with them, making them great.

Which item above the judges are the judges actually better than?

Playing Babs means are you playing other Crimson stuff. There's a reason why general "Crimson Stuff" is S tier. Crimson is way better without exclusively Babs, yet people are going to play exclusive Babs so I tiered them.

I like Philistines a lot but they don't have much proof of being any good at this moment so I can't justify them moving up without an argument for them.

I'll second the "Judges are A tier" sentiment.  Coliseum is not a death-knell for Judges - you definitely can't use Edict/Dagger/DD/SaS/Faith of Samson as your only GEs anymore, but creative players can still make a powerful Judges offense.  I think Judges/Prophets is stronger than straight Prophets.  And I'd take straight Judges, paired with Assyrians/Magicians and CWD, over FBTNB.

I think I Samuel offenses are at least B, maybe even A.  They are the new version of Samuel decks and are possibly the fastest offense, with the Sam drawing engine, WC heroes including the new Saul/David, TToD, and Abigail.  I've been testing a 56-card version of one with an oversized Assyrian/Babs defense and that deck has been rolling opponents.

There's gotta be a way to play Clay that is higher than C.  Don't forget that Coliseum benefits a Clay offense almost as much as The Deck; Clay is full of banding and versatile non-CBN GEs, with good speed to boot.

I'd move Assyrians up, Greeks down, and Herods down.  I assume Herods are high because of Coliseum and their resilience against The Deck?

Babs should be at least be with the Herods. The Babs cab work for offence as well as defense with head if gold, carried into exile, and a Rehaboam tossed in. Nerg having CBN enhancements and acces to swift horses can make him a strong deterant at times, winning a block just by sitting in your territory.

creative players can still make a powerful Judges offense
That can perhaps rise as far as the top of Tier B. A powerful deck gets you to Tier B, a powerful, fast, consistent deck with few usable counters gets you to Tier A.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Judges are a powerful, fast, consistent deck with basically one massive counter.  One card can be teched for with minimal deviation from a deck's overall synergy/power/composition.

I disagree. Judges is a second-rate version of The Deck.

Judges is not a version of the deck. If that is how someone plays Judges, then it is a bad deck.

i think judges may be one of the strongest decks now with the addition of joshua, not to mention the other cloud cards which offer judges a lot.. i have felt in the past that site access was it's biggest constraint. i think site access in general had been a big constraint as illustrated in the 2015 t1 champion deck, but there have been a lot of advances in site access with 2 full releases now since then in terms of cards playable outside of only being used for site access.

IMO the deck always has been and still is way overhyped. I don't think it's ever been S. Just because a ton of people played it as the "new pretty deck" doesn't make it S.  It hasn't won nats, as far as remember is hasn't been top 3.

Since "the deck" in 2012 Nats we've seen
2015 defense heavy/site lock
2014 Disciples
2013 Genesis Hand Control
2012 Traditional FBtNB

I'm not sure how "The Deck" can be ranked above any of those at this point. It has exsisted and failed to win 4 years in a row.  The strongest argument you can make is that it's better then traditional FBtNB but like 10 people played "The Deck" in 2012 so that kind of seems like a losing by argument.

Just my opinion though and that might not be worth a whole lot  :P

Pretty sure John Earley placed top 3 three years in a row with his version of "The Deck."

Then he realized The Deck just wasn't quite good enough and went to Site lock... ::)

My understanding was that flexbone was more silver judges with a teal splash

The deck was more silver green with Daniel and smaller then 15 card defense.

Nationals 2012 I took second playing 'The Deck'
Nationals 2013 I took second playing Splash/Silver/Gold - Which was what 'The Deck' morphed into, they're very similar in concept.
Nationals 2014 I took third playing a more concentrated Silver/Gold.

I think it was 2012. The splash that year was Green/Teal/Gold. It shifted deeper into Gold and away from Green the next two years.
