Post by: The Warrior on July 31, 2009, 06:14:41 PM
i was thinking... and i thought, what is the most artifacts a player can have in play? i know a combo like this...
(think if all this cards were in play...)
Solomons temple-Book of the covenent-2 covenents
Tabernacle(with IoJ to negate ability)-artifact
Z-Temple(spreading mildew to negate abliity)-artifact
Temple of dagon-Holds a active altar of dagon
High priest palace- holds one active 30pieces or Unholy writ
A artifact

I meant TexP + TxP were more popular abreviations than TeP even though thats the correct one xD

Don't forget Priestly Breastplate on a High Priest.
Title: Re: Artifacts
Post by: Professoralstad on July 31, 2009, 07:21:56 PM
1 Artifact Pile
2 Negate ability of ZTemple, place temple art
3 Play Tabernacle, negate ability, place Tabernacle Art
4-6 Play Sol's Temple, place Book of the Covenant and two Covenants
7 Altar of Dagon in Temple of Dago
8 Writ or 30Pcs in High Priest's Palace
9 Cross Beams on Simon of Cyrene
10 Priestly Breastplate on High Priest
11 Magic Charms on Simon the Magician (apparently)

So assuming MKC isn't pulling our collective leg, the answer should be 11 (or more, depending on other possible TexP cards).

no, not pulling your leg. magic charms can actually go on any magician, but simon is the first/best one to come to mind.

also, it should be noted destructive sin can collectively negate tabernacle/ztemple without the need of ioj or spreading mildew, if you play it on your own hero. the downside is it will negate your covenants that are in book of the covenant also. ^_^

Just out of curiosity MKC, how many packs did you get? I've got 20 coming on Monday (according to UPS Tracker). Did you get a lot of duplicates, or was the distribution fairly spread out? Also, was there any noticeable pattern to how to TexP cards came together (like 1 good 1 evil, two red cards, etc.) or was it random?

i ordered 7 packs. out of my 14 tep cards, 2 were the same...astrologers (a 3/3 crimson/pale green hybrid reprint of the old card :)). as far as distribution, it seems fairly random, as i noticed no pattern in the two astrologers packs, or distribution of good and evil cards.

i did notice i got quite a few 'junk' ultra rares/rares...but i suppose thats pretty subjective :-\

yes...yes, there IS such a thing as junk ultra rares...i'd dare to say at least 75% of the ultra rares in existence are junk.

and no, you're no longer 'lucky' to get an ultra rare with tep...they're so easy to get now. out of my 7 packs of tep, i pulled 11 ultra rares. i'll list them for you:

siegeworks, angry mob, pierced heart x2, prosperity, three nails, ship to cyprus, a new beginning, thirty pieces of silver, casting lots, and satans folly. ALL of those are sub-par ultras. of those 11, three nails and maybe ship to cyprus/prosperity see the most play. ugh.

Very sad indeed, they are banned for tournament play because of there utter repulsiveness.

I bought 14 and took them all right in the order they were in the box.  I got 2 duplicates (Leah, ).  Seemed pretty random.

The ultras seemed to average about one per pack, though several were opened with three or four.  Michael Leung opened 4 Neros in 15 packs.  Two different people opened copies of Warriors' Strong Angel back to back.
