Poker has a term for getting extremely unlucky: bad beat. ("Man, I can't believe he got that card--that was such a bad beat.")
So what's your worst "bad beat" in Redemption? These could be bad draws for you, amazing draws for your opponent or bad (or good for opponent) timing with certain cards.
Here's an example from my experience:
Many years ago at the MN State tournament I was playing T2 2P. In the first round, I was paired against a fairly inexperienced (at least in T2) player. She was actually only playing so we would have an even number. She borrowed a deck from my brother who was playing T1 and proceeded to beat me 7-6. For the first 45 minutes of the game she drew 3 LS. 2 of these she rescued with SoG/NJ. The other she Buried. I rescued 1 Hopper I think. Meanwhile, my Gray False Peace/Bearing Bad News/Momentum Change stall defense is running out. Finally she starts drawing LS and my Offense quickly rips thru for 3 LS--getting me to 6 (had gotten the Hopper plus had used my own SoG/NJ). The turn after I got to 6, I had one last Bearing Bad News to stall for one more turn so I could get 7. Of course, as fate would have it, she draws AotL on her turn and ends it. My deck had done everything it could, I made no mistakes, but it just wasn't meant to be for that game. :P

#1 bad beat: using captured ark, only to have opponent draw the same exact artifact on their turn following. -_-

Got beat at a local tourney Wednesday night in sealed deck against a girl who had previously only played a couple games of redemption in her lifetime. Worst thing was I lost 1-5 and it cost me 1st place.

Three words:
First turn Gabe.
-
first turn mayhem!

Drew 6 of my 7 lost souls in my opening hand of a tournament. The one I did NOT draw was shuffler. And for the next 5 turns all I had and drew were heroes, artifacts, and hero enhancements. Fastest loss I have ever had, almost entirely due to bad card drawing.

First turn Gabe, First turn Mayhem, and a card being "shuffled" only to be d3'd the next turn all happen pretty regularly in RTS.
I don't have any specific ones I can think of, but when they get a couple quick ones on you because you don't draw any ECs, you know you're probably done after it just starting.

Also had a Given Over to Egypt (I think that's the curse that discards top card), discard Saul/Paul from the top of my heroless deck with no way for me to negate it or to get him back. I conceded immediately :(

Seems like most of my losses that are just wrong are because I made a mistake..... burying my opponent's soul.... cough cough.....
My site access also likes to hide in t2 it seems like. I've lost a few games because I didn't draw one of my ~6 site access cards until the game was almost over.
#1 bad beat: using captured ark, only to have opponent draw the same exact artifact on their turn following. -_-
I did that twice in a row last tournament! Although at that point my deck was like ~11 cards, and I only needed it one time, so....

T2-2P verses Gabe lost 7-1 I think but I never got anyone to block Zebulon.

My experience was so painful I wrote down the hole thing here. (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=16608.msg259583#msg259583)

Nats, teams. In four rounds, we managed to draw only four characters, one of which was evil. 5-0.
My friend's deck had 13 Heroes, FBTN Red.
/still placed 7th

I was recently playing T-2 with a group at CountFount's place. In two of the games I played I drew at least one lost soul almost every turn. At least one of those games I drew almost no defense. I was not drawing the things I needed offensively either. Needless to say, I lost those games pretty badly. I tend to have "bad beat" most of the time when I play though.

Getting beat 5-0 by my wife who hasn't played nearly as much as me then getting beat 5-1 the next game...
Could not draw what I needed...

Annual Warriors Booster Draft. I draw a David first turn, and I had red to back him up. I rescue against Bany. He looks at his cards, starts manically laughing, and blocks Sheba.
