I didn't know where else to put this topic, so I guess this is as good any place. I live in South West Florida and have 0 ppl to play Redemption :( Does anyone know of a group who plays in this area? Or anyone period? Thanks for the input.

There is a group in southeast Florida (near Ft. Lauderdale). Contact delarosajon or Disciple_Drew for more info.
I am in central Florida (near Orlando).
FYI, Southeast Regionals will be in Orlando July 15-17.

Thank you YMT. How much is it to get into Nationals? I'm not exactly an expert or a pro at Redemption... do I have to be a pro? If I go will I just get crushed?

Nationals will be in Minnesota. Did you mean Regionals? If so, the entry fee is $10 for all open categories (extra for Booster Draft and Sealed).

You do not have to be an expert to participate in Regional or National tournaments. This is not a Top Dog elimination tournament. We use Swiss Style, so everyone plays in every round, even if you lose. The bulk of the players for this year's Regional in Orlando are young players that are not very competitive. If you need help preparing a deck, just let me know how I can help. I have plenty of cards for trade (or borrow) to help improve your deck (if needed).

Here is a link to the Southeast Regionals thread:

Yes I did mean Regionals ;D Thank you for your offer, but I have a couple decks and know how to play and everything, I'm just completely new to tourny's. I know its a n00b question... but what might a booster draft and seal be? :-[

Prices depend on the host, because it depends on which packs they choose to include. Booster is usually 15-17 sealed is usually 10. Booster is my favorite category because it levels the playing field between people who spend 100s of dollars on cards and those who don't. It's all about who can build the best decks with what they've got and who's best at using those cards.

Could I just come for 1 day?

You can come as go as you please it's not like you're bound by contract or anything.
-
LOL! Thx :)

So, what is sealed? Now that I know what booster is....
-
You start with one deck from a starter set (like the G deck from the G/H set, for example) and then you pick 3 (I think) booster packs, depending on what the host is offering. You then build a deck from your starter deck and the cards in those 3 packs. You can also trade with the person you are sitting across from (who will usually have the other deck from your starter set, so the H deck from my above example) while building your deck. Then, you play.

Sweet! Thank you very much for your help! I will see if I can make it... I hope I can!

Me and my friend have played Redemption for 9 years. We are in Ft. Myers and had at one point a group going, but it lasted only for a short time.
