Hello all! The newbee has another question, yet again....lol! I was playing some family members and my opponent had the three liner and the shuffler in his LOB. During the game, I made the first rescue on the three liner and then my opponent made a rescue attempt for the shuffler (it was the only other lost soul out at the time). My question is if he rescued the shuffler does the three liner get shuffled even though I rescued the first half of it or does it stay out?

The 3-Liner would get shuffled. This is (or at least was, before the new rules) a really common play for people to use. Other possible scenarios are that, if the 3-Liner is rescued and later Falls Away, it still has one rescue on it, however, it doesn't count towards anyone's score. Also, it can Buried either before or after it's been rescued. All of this applies to the 2-Liner as well.

so then if it gets shuffled by the shuffler the rescue i made goes away like it never happened? Just like Burial.

Yes. Since cards reset when they hit the deck or discard pile, the 2/3-Liner's count gets reset.

Just to clarify, you can only rescue Lost Soul cards that are in someone else's land of bondage... So the person rescuing the shuffler wasn't rescuing it from their own land of bondage, right? Everything that's been said is true. :)

correct, Ken. Both of us were rescuing from another person. When I went in for my rescue, the defender chose the three liner for me and he chose the shuffler for the other guy. But we weren't sure what the ruling was as far as the 3liner being shuffled. They told me to ask.

Okay, sounds good then!
