My name is Brian, and i currently work at Oakdale Christian Academy. We are located in Jackson, KY. Just keep the school in your prayers as we search for a new Science teacher and Business Manager, that they are Godly men and Women and that they will be a good fit here at Oakdale. Also keep in prayer for the students as last year was a sad year. They have seen many staff leave due to all sorts of reasons, so i am praying that they can can come back and start strong this upcoming year. Thank you ahead of time for all of you that will be praying. :)

I will of course be praying for you Brian, as well as the other students and staff at Oakdale. It was great to be back there at graduation this past weekend, and to reconnect with you and so many others who mean so much to me. Oakdale will always be a special place in my life.

So I don't think people are going to believe this but my Wife and I had some crazy stuff happen this week. The border crossing into Canada was interrupted and prevented so we ended up at KMBC. I am currently 6 or 7 miles away from Oakdale now and will be for the next 2 years (most likely). I have had a lot of communication with David Lorimer and have been past 5 Mile several times.

Ok to clarify a miscommunication on the end of Kingswood University left me without the correct form to prove my ability to pay for the entire school year up front. While working on the problem Kingswood stated that 6,000 dollars worth of my finances did not meet the qualifications they needed it too. Long story short I am not allowed in Canada to attend school.
My wife and I were already loaded in the U-Haul and ready to move. I called some other schools I had applied to (KMBC) Kentucky Mountain Bible School and they provided an opportunity for my wife and I to go there. We took it and are now unpacking in our apartment. KMBC is 7 miles from Oakdale in KY so I am now neighbors with Brian Jones and the Oakdale play group.
The reference to David Latimore was for the benefit of Mark Underwood who previously attended the same hutch as David and for Brian Jones who knows David.
5 Miles is the church that Mark and David attended together while Mark was still in KY. At least that is my understanding.
Sorry to steal this thread I probably should repost this as a new thread but anyhow im pumped to get in touch with Brian *instapoted

I will pray for you, but I have found in my own experiences that every time a door slams in my face, that means it was best that I did not walk through it. Besides, even though I did not even see the other door, I soon realized that was the one God was holding open for me. It may not have been as ornate as the first door, but I was much happier being in the "right" place. ;)

And the reference isn't lost. I'm super excited about you being at KMBC. There are so many AMAZING people there with a real heart for God and for others. David Lorimer is certainly one of them, as is his father Tom who preaches at 5 Mile Community Church. That was our church for all 10 years that we lived in Eastern KY, and I would recommend it to you as well.
And of course I recommend hooking up with Brian and the Oakdale Redemption playgroup. They hold tourneys regularly, and have some good players. With you and Brian working together, they could become even better!

Wow Josiah, it sounds like you have had quite the change of circumstances in the past week! It is so sweet to trust in the LORD, knowing that nothing comes as a surprise to Him and that He orchestrates all things for His glory!
I will pray for you and your wife getting started in KY.
