No matter how much we try...sometimes we cannot break the statistics for urban society...but nonetheless...I was informed that one of my former students went into premature labor on Thursday and gave birth to a baby boy...1 lb....14 oz....so tiny....The family could use some major prayer and encouragement right now...her mother is disappointed but still very supportive and a very devout woman. The teenager's name is Marcia...she's a very good chef, and I am sure she will make a great mom and stay driven to be successful.

to my understanding, there is no boyfriend....just one bad move one night. However, I got word from her mom that both new mother and baby boy are doing fine, and mom gets to come home today. So I will be making an effort to visit either Friday or Saturday. Thanks for the prayers!
