I've got my fingers crossed for Knoxville again. I've improved a lot since the nationals that was held there last, and I want to bring my a-game. :)

I don't think it's ever been in FL, but there's been talk of it being in FL for a few years. Tim (YMT) has talked in years past about hosting it close to Disneyland so that families of Redemption players could do that at the same time (to make it more worth the long trip for some). I suggest that you and he work together on putting together your bid. You also might want to get Clift (RTSmaniac) and Tyler (Mr.Hiatus) on board. They are close to you (in Atlanta) and are two of the most respected guys in the game. They've got experience hosting big tournaments that would be valuable to you.
Since Nats was on the East Coast last year, it is unlikely that it would be in FL this year. However I suggest that you go ahead and make your bid. It will give you practice putting together a bid for Nats, and will also put you on Rob's Radar for the future ;) Then you could put together a revised plan next year to host Nats 2015 and I'd think that you'd have a decent shot that time around.

Unless North Heights Lutheran Church is having an elder's convention in Orlando, then I seriously doubt Nats will be here this year.

Not currently, unfortunately. I would if I could find someplace to host them.
I wouldn't mind Iowa Nats. Florida would be a bit harder to do, lol.

Well, I'll admit i'd highly like to host it in 2015 wouldn't that be the 20th anniversary? But I would like to put a bid in this year, and if we don't get it you're right it would help prepare us for Nats 2015.

Well they're close enough that RTSmaniac has come down there for a State or Regional tournament before, and I know that he's driven to TN tourneys as well as one KY tourney. So he gets around, and I think he'd be willing to help you guys get a Nats sometime.

My dream picture for Nats in the near future:
2014 - Iowa (seems likely)
2015 - Florida (Disney for the anniversary)
2016 - Minnesota (gotta keep going to the base)
2017 - Texas (TCM's group has been solid for years and deserves a turn)
2018 - Pennsylvania (or somewhere else in the NE)
2019 - Tennessee (Chris did a great job last time and would be due again)
2020 - California (once every 10 years the rest of us can sacrifice for them)
2021 - Minnesota (after a small Nats it would be time to return to base again)

Since Disneyland is in California, I hope that the West Coast doesn't have to wait 10 years, and I also hope they rock the attendance just to prove the naysayers wrong. ;)

Once upon a time I thought about making a Nats push in Wisconsin this year but Redemption is not on my radar for the forseeable future. Oh and John Earley is moving to Madison is Feb.

I've rode with Professor Alstad before and I think he would be a good candidate. You'll get there in no time at all!

Rumor has it Gabe wants it, and between having one of the most currently successful playgroups in the country and his being Gabe, smart money is on Iowa this year.

Iowa is within driving distance of WI, and I haven't seen Gabe in awhile, so I'd be perfectly happy with that. :P

That was definitely the impression from last year, and certainly the most logical choice.
