So just because there's nothing you'd rather do after playing 3 rounds of T2 Multi, we're going to play Sealed deck TEAMS style!
Here's the plan...
Start time: We will begin shortly after T2 MP is done so that we can get at least two rounds in before it gets super late. (Since there will still be a Perkins run...)
Cost: $10 gets you a gently used starter deck and 3 packs (one of which will be a box pack). However, participants may supply their own packs and/or their own starter decks and play for free (though they must be prepared to use any of the four starter decks). If a player just needs the packs or the starter deck, the cost will be $5 for either the packs or the starter deck.
Each team will receive either the G and I decks or the H and J decks. Decks will be assigned randomly to each team but the team members can choose who gets which deck.
Unlike regular Sealed deck each participant will choose one pack from each of the following groups (3 packs total) after they have received their deck:
Apostles or Patriarchs
Kings or Angel Wars or Priests
TexP or Disciples or Early Church
Once packs have been distributed, each team will have 10 minutes to construct their decks. They may give any cards from the starter deck or their packs to each other.
Since Site rules are different between G/H Sealed and I/J Sealed, we will use the following rule:
Multiple single-color Sites may be used, but only one single-color Site may be occupied per team at any given time.
All other deck building rules for Sealed deck will apply.
Once decks are finished, teams will be paired up and all regular TEAMS rules will be in effect. The goal will be to play two rounds on Friday night and a final championship match sometime on Saturday though that will depend on how many teams sign up.
If you are planning to attend the T2 Only and would be interested in participating in this event, please let me know here for planning purposes. Feel free to post if you need a teammate or if you have any other suggestions or questions about this event.
Hope to see you in a couple months! 8)

So these are T1 decks?
-
I would totally be up for this!
I will need a teammate. :P
-
I might be able to go....
-
So these are T1 decks?
Yes, there would not be enough time to do two T2 events in one night.

I just got confused because it is at a T2 Only Tournament.

Last year the Iron Man in-between rounds competition was T1 also. The only "official" categories are T2, the other stuff is just fun stuff on the side.

So, is the "you can't be on a team with your sibling" rule actually being implemented? 'Cuz if so my teammate will remain unnamed... Or should I say, Nameless...
-
No, that rule is not in effect.

No, that rule is not in effect.
We can't have that rule in effect because then Craig and Matt couldn't be teammates.

I'll probably be playing in this, and I think I have a teammate.

Sorry Prof, as much as I know you want me to be your teammate, I've got to put family first. I hope you understand. ;)

Thanks for letting me down easy :)

I could always team up with you. Then the old guys could show that we are not over the hill yet.

I would love to team up with you Bill. Let me just check and see if my girls are planning on coming to the T2-only. If 2 of them come then they can team up freeing me to team with you. If none of them come, then I'll also be free to team with you. The only way it wouldn't work would be if only one of them comes (which is unlikely).

With age (and/or redemption experience) comes wisdom ;)

Living with a good deck tester also helps.

Who is your deck tester?

Who is your deck tester?
Wild Bill is the good deck tester. He's saying that his son Nathan (placed top 3 at multiple National Championships) is lucky to have such an awesome dad. ;)

Wow! a whole family of champions!

You should use the optional advanced Rescuer's Choice and Experience Credit rules.

I like that Idea.

I thought they were mandatory for T2 Tourneys?

They should be, which is why I threw this out! ;)
As both Sealed and TEAMS are T1 events, I was thinking maybe the organizers would try to wimp out. :P

Makes sense, I keep forgetting that sealed and Teams are T1 (I have never ever played sealed yet)
-
Sealed and Teams combined will make it a 2 type event.
-
The Promo, are all signed and ready to go. I almost forgot where I put them. I pulled the Faithful Servant, Goliath and Daniel out of my trunk. I found the Buckler in "The Vault".

If you and Craig promise to team up and play, I will add this rule to the event. :D

I have a wedding coming up a month from now. Have to skip the entire event...::)

Wouldn't you like to start the tourney and leave after I carry you to the promised land? Hmmmmm

Awesome, that should make for a fun twist! In the interest of fairness though, I believe we will let the H/J teams J swap the H Christian Martyr for a Burial. Otherwise the G/I teams would have an advantage with having 3 unique evil doms while the H/J teams would only have 2 (having 2 copies of Martyr).

Don't forget you can supply your own packs and starter decks and enter for free! (Between you and your teammate you need to have a complete G/H and complete I/J deck). 8)

You need to bring a G, H, I and J deck or just a combination of two?

Your partner would need to bring the other two decks then.

Could I bring a G/H and my partner also bring a G/H?

What about days of the week ending in "y"?

Sealed teams was alot of fun. We had a 45 min time limit because we started at 2:00am and most game were not timed out. I'm sure we will try it again.
-
Championship game: Bill and Jordan vs. Justin and Jayden.
Time: TBD.
