Title: Tournament Months
Post by: NWJoshRandolph on February 04, 2015, 01:52:40 PM
When I used to host their were set months that tourneys like state and regionals could be hosted in but I don't see taht any where. Can some one let me know which months State and Regional tourneys are open to host and is there any restrictions on timing for districts.

There have been State tournaments in April and May before, so I would just reach out to your state players here on the boards to see what might work. The Regional tournaments are usually in summer, since Nationals would be early August.

There are no restrictions for District tournaments.

The good/bad thing about my state and regional players is the only active players in the Northwest and in Washington state are the ones I'm teaching.  Were kind of used to things like that up here but the good thing is we pretty much have one set location for all events and everyone knows where to go.

That is the same situation I have here in lower Delaware.  The last local I hosted only had 2 players to attend.  And, I was just barely able to defeat my wife to win the tournament.   (However, she claims she won, but that is another story)  :)

We used to have a couple of playgroups in the Northwest but they were all small except for mine which had about 20 players.  Most of us stopped playing in 09 after California held the national tournament but now that I'm a Children's Pastor again I am teaching a brand new group. My play group already has like 10 people and I just started handing out decks a week ago.

We will be the only playgroup though in the NW. Travel is easy.
