Title: TN Tournament
Post by: Crashfach2002 on October 19, 2009, 09:35:29 PM
We finally have a tournament in TN!

Knoxville, TN--November 20-21, 2009

Local (Open) Tournament. Host: Chris Fachman, crashfach2002@hotmail.com. Location: Colonial Heights Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. $4.00 entry fee then: Closed Deck - 2 Player ($15.00), Type 1 - 2 Player (free), Type 1 - Multi-player (Free), Type 1 - Teams (free). Starts: 7:00p.m. on the 20th and 11:00a.m. on the 21st.

What I am probably going to play Closed Deck on Friday night

And then play the 3 - Type 1 versions on Saturday.  I didn't want to start the Type 1 versions on Friday if people couldn't get there for 2 days.

You will just have to bear with me for my first couple of tournaments, until I get the hang of it!  I'm going to split the stuff up for now, and then have a larger tournament later.  So my next tournament will offer the 3 types of play that weren't offered this time!

I hope this goes well, and anyone that wants to, will attend!

I know there has been some interest in this tournament from both Middle TN, and Northern GA.  If you don't care please let me know if you are coming that way I can see just how much room we need!

For those of us coming from GA (I know I am, not sure about the other peeps), is there somewhere we can crash for the night?

Some tournaments allow us to stay at the church, but I'm not sure if that's possible. If other guys come with me, it would probably be 4 of us.

Thanx!

I can't make it closer (Cactus Game's Rules not mine).  And Then next weekend is Thanksgiving, and then December is never good for me, so it was the only date in 2009 I could choose.  I'm planning on having another tournament in Jan. and Feb., so you won't miss too much!

I'm incredulous. Now it's not good enough to have a TN tournament, but could it please not be anywhere near a Holiday? It's a week before thanksgiving and less than a day's drive away. I'm having a hard time comprehending how the two should have any bearing on each other.

Hey Minister, are you going to be able to come?

Possibly. It's a 3.5 hour drive for me, and I'm not exactly rolling in money right now. I also don't have any TxP and very little in the way of FoOF and RoA, which is why I like playing online so much. But if I'm not working, I have the money, and I figure out a way to get the cards by then I'll come.

You need to make your own deck first, not help others with theirs....
