Title: Texas Tournaments (~Date Changed to March 21st!~~)

Fellow Texas Redemption players,

Chad Soderstrom and myself will begin hosting tournaments, since no one is really sure where our good friend Terry has gone. I have sent the application for our first (Local) tournament to be held.

Tournament info:

March 21st
-Check-in starts at 8:30, tournament will begin at 9:00 A.M.
-Held at the Mardel's: Christian and Education Supply in Lewisville. The address will be listed below.
-Categories that will be available:
--Type-1 2 player
--Type-1 Multi-player
--Type-2 2 player
-The categories will be played in that order.
-You are responsible for your own food, there are several restaraunts by the Mardel's, some even in the same parking lot.
-Ending time should be around 5:00 in the afternoon.
-All categories are only $2.00 each.
-We will be having packs for prizes, instead of Redemption Cash.
-PROMO will be the newly-released Windows of Narrow Light.

They have an open area in the back of the store which has several tables and chairs that will be set up for the tournament, and hopefully some people will pass by and who knows, we might get a few new players.

Chad will be hosting one the week after, and we will (hopefully) be hosting them once a week, switching off between hosts. I'm not sure on the requirements for State and Regionals, but if we have enough players I will definately look into it. The price is significantly more and me and Chad will probably split the cost and Co-host it.

UPDATED:

Date has been changed to March 21st. Yes it is under 6 weeks away, but I called and they said that they would gladly change it.

Here is the order for the categories, since a good bit of Texas players play Type-1 instead of Type-2 we will be playing Type-2 last for anyone that may need to leave early.

Type-1 2 player: Begins 9:00 A.M.
~3-4 rounds, depending on the amount of players.
~Should end around 12:00

Lunch Break: 12:00 P.M. - 12:30 P.M.

Type-1 Multi-player: Begins 12:35 P.M.
~2-3 rounds.
~Should end around 3:30 P.M.

Type-2 2 Player: Begins 3:45 P.M.
~2-3 rounds.
~Should end around 5:45-6:15 P.M.

Only a couple more weeks until the first Texas tournament since last year's Regionals!!

If enough people come, I might consider hosting State.

Two more weeks! Marcus, Neeka, Buddy, Buddy's daughters (whose names escape me), Jason, Jason's playgroup, will you be able to make it? Anyone and everyone is welcome! We would be glad to have you there!

Oh and, Chad Soderstrom (former T1-2player champion) and Aaron (2 year running Ironman) will be there. So come take your shot at beating some great players! And have fun and fellowship with your fellow Redemption players.

My apologies to the Texas faithful.  Ben and I have exchanged a few e-mails in regards to upcoming tournaments in the Dallas area.  He will be posting information soon.  The Life Church in Dallas will be available to host these events. Sleepover accomodations for the State and Regional tournaments will be available by reservations (just let me know if you will be staying Friday night at the church). After dates have been posted, anyone wishing to help out with the judging, please let me or Ben know.

Looks like we'll have a pretty decent size group this Saturday! Only a few more days until the FIRST TX tournament of the season!
