we never seem to have many tournaments down in the south =(

The only reason i haven't been having tournaments, and can't apply for a State or Regional is because of an extreme lack of money.  I hope that maybe I can travel to Regionals (emphasis on maybe), but I don't even know.  I just wanted to go ahead and get it on my calendar so I could even see if there was a remote possibility.

You just need to keep your posts on topic on this message board. If you feel like discussing a different topic feel free to begin a new thread on the appropriate area of the message boards. If you choose not to start a new thread and cannot keep your comments on topic then please refrain from hi-jacking threads and posting off topic.

So as far as South East Regionals go, hopefully they can get one in this year. It would be a shame if an entire region was unable to have a tournament.

Well I learned something new today.  :P

I don't think South Central Regionals will be happening, I can't afford to host it, and I'm not sure about our other tournament host.

No he's right colin- its just hard for me to deal with authority some times especially when i feel its being forced unneccesarily. Personal attacks, threats, off topic? What i dont like to see is people scared to post. And for EVERYONE reading this one, there are people scared to post. Shame it is.
Title: Re: South East Regionals...
Post by: The Schaef on May 12, 2009, 02:20:10 PM
There are also people who have left the boards altogether, because of the attitudes of some of the people who post.
Title: Re: South East Regionals...
Post by: Mr.Hiatus on May 12, 2009, 05:35:17 PM
And there was also people that left cuz of some crazy weird authority figures. And those same authority figures moderate the older guys but let the immature ones say what they want and do not edit their post. People that speak their mind get their posts moderated/edited. I think if there is an edit the person should be notified when the edit is made, not one day you look at your post and see it has been changed.

I'm not sure who you're talking about because it's nobody I know.  If you have a problem with one of the board moderators, I suggest you send them a private message and address your concerns there.

It certainly has nothing to do with regional tournaments.

to start this discussion back up

where's SE Regionals gonna be and when?
is the georgia guys gonna keep to tradition or is a TN guy gonna host a mid-eastern regional too?
Title: Re: South East Regionals...
Post by: Crashfach2002 on January 19, 2010, 01:27:20 PM
I'd love to host it, but I think someone with more experience needs to host it.  I'm going to do the TN State tourny though, unless someone else wants to, but I'm guessing since I'm the first TN tourny host in years, it won't be a problem.

Title: Re: South East Regionals...
Post by: Mr.Hiatus on January 19, 2010, 01:32:19 PM
Well I have not been able to host or go to tournaments much this year due to having no money and working. If I do not get more hours or a new job then I can not host regionals. I have not heard from Eric so I can not speak for him, but Clift has been hosting a good bit so far but with the weak turnouts he is losing money so I am not sure if he will do regionals. Maybe me and him can co-host it and split the price of the tournament fees.

Post by: Alex_Olijar on January 19, 2010, 04:55:18 PM
Lol, way to just list the people you know of. YMT has as many players in Florida as you mentioned "can't come" (which you don't even know, again, your just listing stuff). You can't say you can't go when the event is like 5 months down the road. You might be able to. And the other people, who, again, you don't even know about, might be able to. I think YMT should put in a bid. The other guys have said it will be hard. YMT is a willing, established host. It might end up being the best option for the majority.

I guess I shall give a short dissertation on Psychology.

When someone says something, and you lash out with a response that it an overstatement in the negative realm towards the person, you care about what they said. In this case, YMT said something, you overstated something, and now you claim that you don't care. You do. It's ok to say that.

And YMT, we're on board math. Where .4 is less than 0 and 6 is mroe than 11. You should know this by now, your the math teacher ;)

And it's a Christian Board, no less, so the Trinity gives us 1+1+1=1.

              Orlando 2010 Southeast Regionals
I actually think this sounds like a great idea.  I don't think Orlando has much chance for Nats 2010 (despite YMT's hopes), but if they could hold a regional there this year, then that could set up for Orlando Nats 2011.  And as for the GA guys, they came all the way to KY for a regional last year, so I don't think it's out of the question that they would head over to YMT's.  As for the TN guys, they could come join us for the East Central Regional here in KY (assuming we do it again this year), so they won't miss out either :)

Usually the NC guys like slugfencer and fam. come also which prolly wouldnt happen if in FL as well as TX guys ben shadrick. I would love to drive down but i would love to host SE Regionals more.

So you can have more than 1 State/Regional tourny per year?
You are allowed to attend as many State/Regional tourneys as you choose to travel to.  I don't know of anyone who has gone to more than 2 in a year (but I'm sure some people have).

i would love to host SE Regionals more.
I'm not against GA or TN hosting Regionals either (in fact, that'd make it more likely I might come to it).  I'm just saying that YMT hosting it would assist in increasing the likelyhood of Orlando Nats 2011.  Of course GA hosting it would increase the chances of Atlanta Nats 2011.  So either way is cool with me.
