Title: Sealed Deck Rules
Post by: crustpope on July 12, 2009, 07:46:48 PM
1. Are the players suppose to choose their three booster packs "Blind" without seeing which deck they have been given?
2. Are any started decks legal or just the most recent G/H (I am 99.9999% positive I know the answer to this so dont think I am a noob for asking it)
3. Do weapon class enhancements stick now?  I know Rob let them at nats in 08 but I dont know what the consensus has been since then.
4. For those who have played, does having weapons stick make much of a difference?

1. You are supposed to do it "Blind" but ive never done it that way  :P
2. You should use G/H but any starter is legal
3. Dont they always stick?
4. Well playing with sticky cards isnt very fun  ;)

Can you trade cards from your starter decks?
You can even trade your whole starter if you want

1. Yes. However, knowing which possible starters you are using might be helpful to know.

2. For both boosters and starters, any available can be used. However, since A/B and C/D are no longer in print, that doesn't leave many options.

3. Since the G/H starter decks come with Warrior-Class characters, I don't see why normal rules would not apply. Perhaps you were thinking of Booster Draft?

4. There could always be a situation where battles are won by the numbers, more so in sealed & booster.

5. You can only trade with your first opponent (at the time you create your deck).

We all agreed at Northeast Regionals that weapons should stick. I don't think there should be any other different rules other then the one site thing.
