Too soon, YMT. Too soon.

Oh yes, I forgot that we can't use Goliath during the same Regional tournament we receive it, so practicing our Taunts is a bit premature.

What's so bad about someone using both of these guys in his deck? I don't think it would be that bad...

We need to try to put together an official list of who is playing Booster Draft on Friday Night. Supplies may be a concern as the number of participants grows. Here is a list of who has said they might be coming. I need a final head count for Drafters:

Weiss family (4, possibly 5)
Anderson family (4, possibly 5)
Kopp family (3, possibly 4 with mother?)
Ft. Lauderdale Groupies (5, possibly 8?)
Parker family (2)
Joshua Harmon (and possibly his dad?)
Childers family (2)
Nathan the neighbor
Andrew from Youth Group

How many from Georgia????

If anyone else is planning to attend Friday night for BD, please PM or post so we can be sure to have enough supplies. If you are coming on Saturday, then I would still like to know, but you are welcome to surprise us.  ;D
I have 7 or 8 extra tins with me just in case we need them.

As long as the tin number begins with XX, that should be fine.

A few final details for travellers:

1. Please eat supper/dinner before you arrive on Friday night. We will only have snacks available.

2. Please bring money for meals on Saturday, since I cannot afford to feed everybody as normal. We were planning on having hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill for lunch. However, breakfast and dinner/supper are on your own. We were thinking about ordering Hungry Howie's pizza (flavored crust ftw!) for dinner/supper. One large pizza with one topping is $6 and there are eight slices. We could also swap those and have pizza for lunch instead.

3. Booster Draft will be tins + Angel Wars for $15. There was a possibility of adding a choice of TexP or Disciples, but that would add $5 to the total. $20 for BD is too steep for many players, so this is not preferred. If I have enough available, I will add Kings packs to RoA tins and Patriarchs packs to FoOF tins so that every booster set is included. TexP/Disciples would then be available for regular purchase.

4. Booster Draft needs to begin as close to 7pm as posssible, so that we can finish at a decent hour. We may then do a lock-in at the church for Type 1 Multiplayer after Booster Draft, depending on the preferences and availability of players. Otherwise, T1MP would have to be simultaneous.

Four of us won't be able to arrive till about 9:30.  My brother & I both have ministry obligations after work on Fridays.  What does this mean as far as our chances of joining booster draft?

If it is possible for me to play both in the booster draft and t1mp, that would be ideal. btw, I plan to arrive around 6pm.

I'm afraid that there is no way to join Booster Draft late, since the draft will already be done.

I plan to arrive around 6pm.

Just come straight to my house.

Well, after an exhausting weekend, Southeast Regionals has ended. We were honored to have Rob Anderson and his family visit us and play in a thrilling 22 player Booster Draft extravaganza. We felt privileged to see the proofs of the new set to be released at Nationals. I took plenty of pictures of the amazing cards which can be viewed  here.

Clift has all the paperwork, and I have a horrible memory, but these are the unofficial standings I recall:

Type 1 2-Player:

1st: Clift Crysel (RTSManiac)
2nd: Jonathan Majus (spicynumber1)
3rd: I think it was one of the Delarosa twins.

Type 1 Multiplayer:

This one is really fuzzy since we started after midnight on Friday.

Type 2 2-player:

1st: Jonathan Majus
2nd: Clift Crysel
3rd: No idea

Booster Draft:

1st: Jonathan Majus

Sealed Deck:

1st: Andrew Goeller (local non-Message Board player)

TEAMS:

1st: Jonathan Majus/Hunter Yeago (aka The Master & his apprentice)
2nd: Marcus Parker/Neeka Parker (RedemptionAggie & his sister)
3rd: Andrew Goeller/Joshua Harmon (YMT's son)

I'm sure some of the players will post more information later, and there must be a South Florida Webzine on the way, but give us all time to recover sleep.  ;)

I'm trying to decide which of these 3 I am most impressed by.  Is it the fact that RTSmaniac's speedy T1 deck broke through Spicy#1's huge type 1.5 deck?  Or is it that Spicy's type 1.5 deck beat out an established T2 pro like Maniac?  Or is it that the Aggie came all the way from TX to Florida?

For those of you peeking at RNRS, I think Jonathan Majus won Type 1 Multiplayer, but again I am not certain.

Don't worry, this is one of God's attempts to teach me patience.  It's not working.

/Even if he did, I'll still make fun of his deck.

Looks like SN1 has a nasty 1.5 deck, hopefully we can all see it in action at Nationals. :)

I beat cliff due to his lack of site access(t2 2p).
I lost to cliff due to my lack of site access(t1 2p).

Cliff, aka RTSmaniac is an awesome guy and I was very pleased to make his acquaintance.
He really deserved to win the t1 2p as I made many mistakes in the game and he played flawlessly.
I was playing on very little sleep and I am human, so even I make mistakes  ;).
It was really fun to play against someone who I deem to be on my level of play ability and he didn't disappoint.

Rob Anderson wad definitely the highlight of many our play groups trip.
Not only did we get to meet and play against Rob Anderson, We also got to see the full spoiler for the new set!

Tim is a gracious host always providing the players with ample food and beverages.
For those of you who don't know Tim (YMT) personally, he is about the nicest guy you will ever meet.

Thanks Cliff for running the event and presenting a formidable challenge.
Thanks Tim (YMT) for being an awesome guy and providing us with nutrition.
Thanks Rob Anderson for making our trip all the better.
Thank you god!

We must be the change we want to see.

RTSmaniac is probably in the top 25 current players in the country.  However, it's too bad that you can't come to Nats and get to play against at least 24 other people who are as good or better.  I'd be interested to see what that would be like for you :)

Oh I'm buried with all the content from Regionals, I hope I can make this month's issue of The Redeemer pretty good.
I'm sure it will be great!
