Title: RNRS Points posted
Post by: CactusRob on August 03, 2013, 06:22:59 PM
Hello All:

With the exception of one small local tournament (and Nationals), we have received and posted all RNRS points for this tournament season.  Please review your points and let me know (PM on these boards) if you see any errors.  If there are any errors, we would like to get those corrected before Nationals this coming week.

Thank you for your help.

Blessings,
Rob

Go under Tournaments > Current Rankings and choose the category you want.

Hey Rob,
Blessings to you! Just a minor correction for my brother in law.  His first name is spelled wrong on the rankings for the Booster category.  It's George Celotto, not Geore...lol.  If you could fix that I'm sure he'd appreciate it.  Thanks!

In Christ,
Robin Dermo aka dermo4christ

Hey,

Rob, I was looking over the RNRS lists and found something that seems amiss.  According to the "Past Tournaments 2013 Season" list there were 15 state tournaments that occurred this year.  The tournament guide says a state tournament must offer at least 5 events including both T1-2P and T2-2P.  I counted the first place points (or ties for first place points) in each category.  First place points show up for T1-2P only 14 times on the RNRS list and only 13 times for T2-2P.  I believe a category would count as "offered" but still not have points if there weren't enough players that wanted to play but since those categories only require two players that seems very unlikely (namely the one "missing" T1-2P points).

I also found the total number of first place points (81) to be lower than I expected (the theoretical minimum would be 75).

This makes me wonder if somehow there's a state tournament that got marked as "results posted" by the results didn't actually make it into the lists or maybe a couple states only got partially inputed.

There's no T1-2P winner listed from Manitoba and there's no T2-2P winners listed from Ontario or New York, but no one state or province is missing from both winners lists.  I guess if no one has mentioned missing points in this thread then maybe, as weird as it seems, the listed results are accurate; but it seemed strange enough to me to merit being pointed out.

Tschow,

I feel like California is missing a Local or a District we had a couple of months ago.... Only points any of the Cali guys have are from State and Regionals and im positive there was at least one tourney before those. Did Bryon forget to send in the score sheets lol?

I don't have access to the the mailed in results here. However, I do recall that one of the state level tournaments from Canada submitted results for only three categories. So it is plausible that we would appear short in some categories. There may have been others like that.

With the exception of one small local tournament ...

That wasn't my impromptu local was it? I never actually sent that in. There were only a handful of players and none of them have any other RNRS points, and they are not at Natz.

Dumb question, but I'll ask because I don't know:  Does the winner of the ROOT RNRS points win any prizes?  If so, since I won, can I designate someone at Natz to pick up my prizes?

ROOT gives out no prizes.
