Title: Report Card Bonus?
Post by: Cameron the Conqueror on May 11, 2009, 05:59:41 PM
Does anyone know if the offer about the straight A's for a double promo set is happening at Nats this year?

Please enlighten the new guy.  Straight A's?  Double promo?

that's about it.  :)

In the past, if you brought a straight A's report card to Nats, you got a second set of national promos.

There should be a youth pastor bonus,  Or a first time to Nats bonus, or a drove for 14 straight hours with out stopping except for the bathroom and food bonus. Heck even a "oh wow your from the Northwest" bonus.  I could get any of those but since I'm not in school I can't get the straight A bonus.  Oh well I do think its cool that kids with straight A's get double promos but what about us "older" people.  ;D

Perhaps a bonus for those whose salary is over $80,000 per year? :dunno:

Lets see if you take my salary, my wifes salary and double it we might get close to that....who am I kidding. LOL

I do think that Rob has done an awesome thing encouraging players to get good grades, but a part of me does wish I could get double promos this year when I go. :(

Is there anyone who plays Redemption that actually qualifies for this? I thought most of us were teachers.

Teachers in SoCal get a decent sum (average is around $63,000 I think), but you figure hazard pay and cost of living here and, well, your point stands.

I'm sorry class, but I can't seem to find your report cards right now. Why don't you all go down to the office and have a new one printed.

Do straight A report cards from College Master's program count???  Unfortunately, while I can provide that, I still cannot afford a trip to California.  :(  Anybody want to pretend to be me, and send me the set?

Only kidding.

What about managing a store working 43 hours a week and only being 19, playing a div 1 sport, keeping the same girlfriend for almost 2 years and making over a 3.0?

Okay, here are the following grades I received after asking about the different life subjects:

Work: my boss gave me an A-
Husband: my wife gave me an A-
Father: my kids gave me an A
Friend: my best friend gave me an A
Church: Jesus forgave all my missing assignments and poor test results and gave me an A

I can get all but one signature on a college-ruled, loose-leaf piece of paper.   :)

Husband: I would need to get this grade after doing my house work its the only chance I have of getting an A
Dog keeper: That is an easy A from my dog
Youth Pastor: dang I don't even want to ask my youth group to grade me, they would be mean.
Sports fan: A+ not even a question, I have tons of extra credit here.
Laziness: Not my best class but I'm still getting an A

Do you play Lacrosse or soccer?  I can't remember where you go to school either, sorry I'm forgetting!

To anyone who might know, do As and A-s count as all As?  In high school we didn't have an A- grade, it just went straight to B+, so now that there are A- grades at college, do they count?

I think anything with an A counts.

I must try to get back on topic.  Is there going to be this offer this Nats?

Rob has done this for two years now and I think he kind of made it sound like it could be a regular thing.  I don't speak for Rob but I don't see any reason why he would change.

I definitely plan to, but it depends on my work schedule.  I have two job offers and depending on which I take it will effect my availability.  Do you have dates for it yet and a location?

Kirk

I go to a private school and don't get report cards. If I bring something that shows that I got an overall average of an A, would that count? Just out of curiosity.

If you brought it and it doesn't count what would it hurt/cost to bring it along anyways?  ;)

The idea is that you get As, not the actual "report card".  I think that would work fine.
