GAMING SCHEDULE:
Friday (Starts 6pm *deck checks beforehand if possible):
(Phase 1) Sealed Deck / Type 2 Multiplayer
Saturday (Starts 8am *deck checks beforehand if possible):
(Phase 2) Type 1 2-Player / Type 2 Two-Player
(Phase 3) Type 1 Multiplayer / Booster Draft *** BRING YOUR OWN NON-S/A LOST SOULS!
Please spread the news regarding the need to sleeve Sealed Deck and Booster Draft cards.
It has become tradition to urge or require closed category players to sleeve their decks. The reasons are obvious: the occurrence of cards (especially Lost Souls) accidentally being left with the opponent is almost perfectly eliminated; time is saved by preventing the need for the whole player population to wait for a re-count of decks that may be missing cards.
Bring your own sleeves if you wish to save money. Sleeves should also be available from either Spirit and Life or a few players who have them for sale (if and only if Spirit and Life runs out of stock).
We pray you'd agree with the must-sleeve-cards tradition for closed deck categories.
Please spread the news to players who have not yet experienced the tradition.
Godbless all!

THANK YOU SO MUCH ONCE MORE MR. JOHN MICHALISZYN FOR PROVIDING THE TROPHIES AND MEDALS. GOD BLESS YOU!

Do you need to get numbers for regionals crashers at the church?
-
Do you need to get numbers for regionals crashers at the church?
That is preferred. It gives the hosts better heads up. That also prompts me if I need to sleepover myself if more 'adults' are needed for the sleepover.
-
I need to gather up what Shipwreckers are going... it's looking like 3 (me, Nate, possibly Gretchen), and we would all need accomodations.
June 6th fell through for PA states for us, and also the Shipwreckers will be away the 27th (MD States) because Nate and I will be at Creation with Mr. John :)
Sorry guys, but it looks like the only time we will make an appearance is Regionals. See you there!

I'll be at the church Roy.

Great! Are you attending MD States as planned? You can also sleepover at the church venue. We are all truly blessed!
-
I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. It's right after a week long camp trip, so I won't be able to get off work for it.
-
Hey there, Marti, my sis! I can't wait to reunite with the PA group! FYI, I believe that there's a $5 one-time registration fee where all open events are free.
Also, bring extra cash in cash you get tempted to buy from the venue host's Christian bookstore (Spirit and Life).
See ya!
Godbless!
PS --- To all who are interested to avail of the South Central PA carpool:

Roy, we are so excited to see our friends from the more Northern Northeast! It's going to be a great time. :) Thanks for the answers to my questions. Do you know..
1. event pairings/schedule
2. How meals are working (breakfast, lunch on Saturday in particular)
Thanks!

Marti, I believe that snacks/meals are provided for those who need them, at minimal cost. Also, it's a university belt, thus lots of food options around. We can also ask the hosts to order pizza, etc.
I believe that the event pairings are on the initial post of this thread. Players might request some adjustment to Saturday events, but I guess they should stay as scheduled for now. Again, the hosts will have the final say.
Thanks and Godbless!

Laine and I are back in New York and Plan to attend. ;D
-
Oh rob, it'll be good to meet you! :)
I'm so excited. I've been itching to go on a road trip and play Redemption, now I get to do both! lol.
~Marti
-
We're looking meeting the rest of the North East redemption family as well as seeing those that we meet last year!
Sounds like it will be a great time!! ;D
-
Rob, eager to see you and the rest of the great NorthEast! Godbless!
-
Updated attendance estimates as follows:
NY - 10
PA - 7
NJ - 1
CT - 8
MA - 7
MD - 2
This event will truly be a memorable one. Some of the best in the Redemption world will once more meet, compete, and reunite! We will see Justin S. (2005 Nats champ) and other Nats, Regionals, and States champs like Sam N., Christian F., Matt S., Reggie F., Michael H., etc. ----
PM me if you think you and your group have not yet been counted in.
Godbless, ALL !!!
-
Hey Roy,
I sent you an email, but I figured I would cover my bases on this site. I plan to attend and crash at the church.
-
Nate is bringing one of his friends from MD, so add that on the list. All 4 of us (me, Gretchen, Nathan, and his friend) plan on crashing at the church.
~Marti
-
Thanks Marti.
TO ALL CHURCH CRASHERS: You know that you'd need to bring you own sleep and toiletry gear! We want the hall fresh like spring the next day! lol ---- We are offering showers at the hotel for those who need to shower at a meager $1 per shower! Payment for the shower service can be cash or Redemption cash.
Peace!
-
lol. Oh, we're only staying Friday and going home saturday night. I'm leaving for a missions trip on Sunday, so they're forced to leave when I do! :)
-
I hate double posting, but fees are able to be paid for in Redemption cash, right?

Not tournament nor sleepover fees Marti. They need to be paid for in cash.
Godbless.

Yep. Should be good. Was general mistake for whole posse, not just me :)

Does anybody know what the reasoning was to put T2 Multi against sealed and not T2 2 player? The reason I ask is that it has left me with 2 very difficult decisions.
What to do with Friday night...and definitely I'm stuck with deciding which 2 player event to play Saturday morning. My preference is to switch the 2 T2 events. (i.e. to make T2 2Player Friday night and Multi Sat. morning)
-
Agreed. They are the two least popular events in the Northeast.

Why was this question brought up just now??? We could have had a consensus earlier on --- after all these updates and loads of E-mail exchanges since Day 1.
We all know that unless people were to object to it earlier on, we are to follow the traditional Nats order of events per phase.
If all will agree that T2 2Player be done Friday night I guess Marc would not mind, too. I'm just worried that someone who wanted to play Type 2 2Player and was expecting to arrive Saturday, might be shocked with the change.
Again, there's no issue making the swap for as long as we are 100% sure no one expects to play T2 2Player on Saturday.
Godbless.

Perhaps a final decision can be made once everyone shows up tomorrow? Personally I was kind've hoping to play Sealed, Booster and t2-2p. But if I'm the minority I can play a different category.

As I type up this reply, I already know of at least one person coming on Saturday planning to play Type 2 2Player. It therefore is justice for the sake of the schedule that was posted several weeks ago NOT to change it at this point in time. I guess it'll not be a matter to vote for anymore. Once more, we had weeks to have made our comments and suggestions heard.
Playing Sealed on the 1st Day, T2 Player and Booster on the 2nd Day would be a perfect fit for you have planned it for yourself.
We're almost sure to follow Nats format for paired events for Regionals 2009:
Friday (Starts 6pm *deck checks beforehand if possible):
(Phase 1) Sealed Deck / Type 2 Multiplayer
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday (Starts 8am *deck checks beforehand if possible):
(Phase 2) Type 1 2-Player / Type 2 Two-Player
(Phase 3) Type 1 Multiplayer / Booster Draft *** BRING YOUR OWN NON-S/A LOST SOULS!
Regionals 2009 shall be most memorable!
Thank you and Godbless all.

I'm typing from a hotel room in NY air. I can't wait to see/meet everyone and play(read as: win ;)) the various events. See you all tommorow. I only have a night of sleep and a 4 hour hike through the forests left until I depart to the Church! Woot!
-
I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow either! :) It's gonna be great. Shipwreckers are leavin between 11:30 and 12. :)

Why was this question brought up just now???
Sorry, I've been so busy in the month of June that I didn't even catch it until I posted. (Which the only reason I was looking closer at it, was to plan my trip.)
It's okay as is....I just have to make a hard decision is all. I didn't mean to offend with my lateness of posting. I was just hoping that if it could be changed with little consequence that it would be. However, if people are planning the other way, then it shouldn't be changed in all fairness.
-
What a great tournament!
I am glad that my wife and I both got the opportunity to place 2nd, myself in T1-Multi!!, and my wife in Sealed!
-
It was great fun. Unfortunatly I believe I lost my Sandals there, =(. Oh well.
-
Sad face! :( poor Alex!
It was an AWESOME tournament. It was so great to see my Redemption Northeast family, and we hope that PA will be on the map enough that you get to join us all next year! :)
The Shipwreckers totally love you guys, and can't wait till our next "family reunion." :)

But, Kirk, we could not play it because you were absent, and only you were our inspiration to play it! We truly missed you, Kirk boy!
I'll try to post results from my laptop where we tracked the tourney, when I get home tonight.
A truly unforgettable reunion that would be missed ---- the great North East Regionals!
