OK, I'm going to need a vote from the people who are coming so I can do the categories the most people want to do and then modify the pricing. I would like to do one of the sealed because that starts everyone on a level playing ground. So here is what I need the people who are coming to do.
Which sealed do you want to do?
2 player or teams?
What is the 2nd category you want to play?
The sealed you didn't vote for above
Type 1 - 2 player
Teams
Booster draft (if you vote for this put how much you would pay or this, starting at $15).
For notes in the booster: I should have persecuted church packs by then so I would do the 4 boxes for this. So if you were willing to go to $20 I could include 2 of the $3 packs and so on.

I'm going to do everything I can to come, so I will vote...
either sealed is fine, but if it is teams, I'd need a teammate.
2nd would be either the other sealed, or booster, and I would be willing to pay extra to get the PC and/or TEC packs, as I have almost none of them.

My vote is for Sealed - 2 player and T1 - 2 player. Two 'Limited' formats could be costly. How much will it cost for the sealed?

I would prefer sealed-teams and booster, but can do teams as well. If we are doing sealed-teams or teams, Wyatt and i are teammates. I would pay extra as long as i got the new packs and all the other good stuff.

In order to get there i am taking a mega bus and would very much appreciate it if someone was able to pick me up either at Nashville or Chattanooga. If someone can get back to me whether this is a possibility that would be wonderful.

okay so here are the possible bus options i have:
I could take the megabus Friday morning and get to Nashville about 10 AM. Or there is also a megabus that arrives 6:30 PM at Nashville also on Friday.
Or i could take the greyhound straight to knoxville and it arrives at 5:30 PM on Friday, but i would need a ride back to bus station Sunday around 10 AM because bus leaves at noon if that is possible.
With this, I am waiting to see which one of these would be better for you guys and if anyone can help me get any of these to work out. As soon as someone can get back to me, the sooner i can purchase the ticket. Thank you all for taking the time to discuss and help me coordinate this trip.

It looks like based on the votes from here and the input from my group we will do a sealed and booster tournament. So I will contact Travis and change the pricing some.

Yup i am committed and am still looking for help with supplies and cards for my future playgroup so if any can help. Also will anybody be able to pick me up friday at knoxville for the tourny and take me back to the bus station on sunday morning or saturday night? this would be helpful to know...

So both are going to be $15. For sealed you get one of the I/J decks and 3 of the $3 packs. If you decide to not keep the I/J portion then the cost will only be $10 (like what was listed before). For booster we are going to do the 4 box sets so TxP, Disciples, Early Church, and Persiscuted Church, bring a little extra and if everyone agrees we can add more, plus I will have packs for sale as well!

You can choose any 3 packs, they can be all the same or all different it anywhere in between. We could add another 2 or 3 packs for $5? So that would be what we would do or just leave it the way it is.

I'm glad you caught this. This is my home and I will not have room for the tournament at my home with people coming from out of town. We will be having the tournament at the church I attend instead, which is only a mile down the road. The address for it is 6513 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920. If you come to the tournament from I-40 the church is closer than my home! If anyone needs help with directions, or would please let me know when they are getting into the Knoxville area please call me at 865-307-1933. I will be working on Friday until about 6:30 PM, so you will have to find something to do or somewhere to eat if you arrive before that time. I will be planning on going up to the church some time after that and hanging out. I will have stuff to trade, sell and will also try to build a deck or two to play some fun games as we won't be needing any built decks as we are playing "closed" categories.

Sweet, good thing I asked. My original plan was to just drive up on Saturday morning, but it is about a 3 hour drive. I don't think I want to have to get up at 5 and leave well before 6am. Is the 9AM start definitely going to happen?

I'm planning on starting at 9, and no, the hotels right around the church are terrible (and that is being nice). If you come up Friday you are welcome to stay at the church, I just won't be there to let anyone in until after 7. Also you would need to bring any pillows, sleeping bag, air mattress you would want. I do have a shower at the church as well.

If we have enough people to do Sealed Teams, then the rule for that is the teammates will open 3 packs a piece and then combine them to make their decks. They will not be able to trade with the first opponent.

Absolutely love the rules for Booster and the new mulligan rule! So we are doing Sealed Teams?

We are doing sealed teams if we have a number that can be divided by 4. That is originally what I signed up for, but I would rather run 2-P sealed if a team is going to have a bye.

I'll be there and Knoxyouthpastor will be coming up too. If other people are coming in like kariusvega and Wyatt then I'm guessing they will be there too

The only caveat I would highlight is that with booster you draft in one pod up to 13 players and then at 14 you would break into two pods of 7. Generally speaking the minimum is 7 per pod but in a smaller tournament it may not get that high. Hope you all have a great time!
