Does anyone know if there going to be a new Nat promo this year

The new promo cards will not be here for Nationals. Those are coming by sea with the main shipment. If you wondering why I didn't airfreight them over it's because they are part of each deck and must be separated out. I am not airfreighting over enough decks to supply all the people coming to Nationals.

120 cards are being printed. Cards 1 - 60 are on the first press sheet. Cards 61 - 115 are on the 2nd press sheet plus 5 promo cards. After the cards are printed and cut they are packaged into "decks" at the printer. TeP was similar but with no promo cards.

When the Disciples "decks" arrive here then we pull out the 5 promo cards, shuffle the decks and start making card packs. This is how my slave labor (er.. I mean my children) spend their last days of summer.

Just to be clear, you will get 6 National Promo cards if you attend Nationals this year: Authority of Christ, Priests of Christ, etc. We just won't have the National Promo being printed as I write this. The promo cards being printed now are for the 2010-2011 Tournament season. There are five new promo cards, one for each level - local, district, state, regional and national.

So if your kids mess up we could have promos slip into the packs

Man, maybe I will buy some packs after all

Serious question though: If you're expecting 150+ players, that means you're getting less than 150 'decks' aired in - 4 cards from each deck make a pack - so you're expecting to have right around 30 packs a player available?

Are those numbers close to accurate?

Seriously though, is this why some packs are the EXACT same thing but with a different rare? And almost always in the same box?

I'm so confused... I think. The "new" promos are being put into booster "packs" or "packs" as in tournament hosting supplies... Forgive me, I'm somewhat new.

No, the new promos will only be available at tournaments, when requested by the host.

I was told last year the reason I got more good cards in my TEXP was because Rob's kids liked doing double good, while Rob and Susan tried to do one good and one evil.

so if you go to nats you are getting all nats promos so far? I've never been to nats before but this sounds really nice!!!!

The next Nationals card will be given out at Nationals of 2011.

Also, if you attend any tournament higher than a District (Meaning a State, Regional or National Tournament) you receive EVERY promo for that level. There is currently 6 at each of those levels.

State: Bartimaeus, Chastisement of the Lord, Everlasting Beings, Haman, Jairus & Water to Wine

Regional: A Child is Born, Frog Demons, Gates of Jerusalem, Nicanor, Ordained as a Disciple & Thorn in the Flesh

National: Authority of Christ, Elijah, Mary's Prophetic Act, Priests of Christ, Split Altar & Walking on Water

Is there going to be a new local promo this year? I'm planning on sending in an app by friday and wanted to see if I can get the new promo (if there is one). Also, will you have the option for a random disciple card for the winner like you did for texp?

I was told that there would be a new local promo. Not sure on the specifics, but there is a new one.

Last year Goshen and Spirit as a Dove were both released at the start of the 2010 tournament season, sometime around September. Shobach wasn't released until March.

Traditionally Cactus has made the new District and Local promos available after they receive them. Disciples is expected to be released to the public in September. I'm going to guess that Rob will offer any new District and Local promos at that time.
