Alright everyone, we are trying to determine the format to use for Boosters are North East Regionals. I know a lot of people have preferences and opinions about the 'best' type of Booster Draft. A lot of people dislike doing X and love doing Y, while still others swear by using Z. So, I want to get your input before we make a decision :)
Please only respond if you will be attending the tournament and plan to play Booster (it will be played opposite Teams). When you respond, select the number that you would prefer as the base, and then the letters that indicate the add-ons you would like to have included. The price per player for the option is listed at the start of each of the letters. All options besides the first will show the amount added to that base cost, so that you know how much your vote would cost you ;)
We will tally the votes and take them all into consideration before posting the final format. Thank you!
1. One of each in-print foil pack (Unlimited, Prophets, Apostles, Patriarchs, Kings, Angel Wars, Priests).
a. ($15) No additional packs.
b. (+$3) Add Womens.
c. (+$4) Add Disciples.
d. (+$4) Add TexP.
2. One FooF or RoA tin (all tins 1-25) and one of each foil pack included in tins (Unlimited, Prophets, Apostles, Patriarchs, Kings, Priests).
a. ($15) No additional packs.
b. (+$3) Add Womens.
c. (+$2) Add Angel Wars.
d. (+$4) Add Disciples.
e. (+$4) Add TexP.
3. One FooF or RoA tin from only the 2011 release (tins 20-25) and one of each foil pack included in tins (Unlimited, Prophets, Apostles, Patriarchs, Kings, Priests).
a. ($15) No additional packs.
b. (+$3) Add Womens.
c. (+$2) Add Angel Wars.
d. (+$4) Add Disciples.
e. (+$4) Add TexP.
Examples:
If I were a purist that disliked tins, but wanted all the foils and packs, I would reply with this format:
I vote for 1bcd
Or if I liked just the new tins and only the packs that come in them, I would reply with this format:
I vote for 3a
-
I'll vote for 2e. (Any of the FooF/RoA tins with a TexP).
-
1b. Tins make booster entirely unfun.
EDIT: changing to 1bc. Tins are still unfun.
-
I plan to attend but am not 100% sure yet.
I like adding in tins but find the disadvantage of getting an earlier tin compared to the 2011 tins is far to great.
That said I I like getting into the older tins and would suggest another option of doing tins but excluding the 2011 set. I know this is not probable and I would cast my vote
For 2bcde (or any combination of 2 additional packs)

1b. Agree with Drrek, tins are kind of annoying to deal with. Picking option b due to thinking about overall cost for players. And women's makes booster really good.
-
I think i'm going to vote for 2b
-
1b
-
1bd
-
I can't say until I know the flights, but I'd be 1bcd
-
3E
-
1bcd

Everyone, please get your votes in soon. I will be closing voting and making a decision on Monday, May 6.
Thank you!
