Title: NW At Nats?
Post by: Ironica on July 23, 2009, 09:31:38 AM
Before I complete the deck I want to use, is it official that there will be a NW Type Friday night?

I can't promise anything at this point, but we will do everything we can to have a Type NW on Friday night.

Bring a deck just in case!   ;)

Correct.

Type NW deck-building
- Deck size is always 70 cards
- No dominants are allowed
- Type 1 deck-building rules apply for everything else

Type NW gameplay
- Games are allotted one hour; when one hour is reached, complete the current full turn
- Name-on-name bonus and Experience credit are both used

If Scott is unable to host type NW I am going to do my best to host it.  Entry fee will probably be like $2 so that way I can buy some basic prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.  As with Scott I can't promise anything but I'll give it a shot.  Of course if I lose all my games that day and I'm off crying I know I probably wont be able to host. ;D

I don't know yet what I'll be doing on the nights, but I may play. :)

Can someone please PM me some common NW strategies?  I have never played the category, but it sounds really fun.  Much appreciated. =D

Cameron if you want some advice from someone who really knows this event style send a PM to Gabe.  He kind of dominates this category and would be a great resource for you.

Well, due to people in my group dropping out of going for reasons out of my control, I will be the only person in my group going.  However, my lovely wife is planning to come with me and will be doing other things around town while I'm at Nats.  The plus side to that is that I get to be with my wife this weekend ;D.  However, we are planning to have dinner together Friday night so I will not be able to play in the NW tourney.
