I am in the planning stages of an epic Fall District Tournament that will include some new unofficial categories as well as a few official ones as well.
I have titled this the NE scroll around the Block tournament because it will feature premiere prizes for both the Scroll Only Category as well as Type 1 Block constructed.
Door fee: $10
Other events
T1 Classic
T2 GoC only
Sealed Deck $10
I am planing to match the district level prizes for both Scroll Only and Block Constructed.
Scroll Only was piloted in an unofficial match between Al and Jason at Nationals.
Date is November 5th.

prizes may include play-mat, card sleeves, t-shirt and more.
Looking for background ideas for the play-Mat ideas that are iconic for Scroll cards as well as one that would relate to block constructed. Needs to be a free to use image.

What exactly is scroll only? Limited-Tin 25. So like o

Yes, all cards from Limited to Tin # 25. Scroll only are the cards printed prior to the I/J rotation starter deck coming out ! They have the scroll at the bottom of the card where the SA Text is located. I/J started the rotation format where the SA Text is in a Box! The old cards are still put to use and not left in your closet.

Would people want to be able to play in both Type 1-Block Constructed and in scroll only? I was gonna run them at the same time but I could run them at different times if that is better ?

If im able to make the drive i would want to play in both because it would be a far drive. But i wont know if i can come until much closer to the actually time. Im really hoping i can make the trip because this sounds awesome.

This sounds like it could be really fun! Unfortunately, I have a men's retreat that weekend through my church and am unable to attend. But I would look forward to the next Scroll Only tournie!!

I would like to do both--the nice thing is that you can build both decks ahead of time and not have to worry about sharing cards between them! Maybe the category to run opposite to them could be T1 - 2P, sealed deck or something like that. Regardless, it's gonna be good!

The church is located in Rochester NY. Above post will be updated soon with location and time. As well as food information.
Hope you can make it. Date is tentative but we already have the church locked in for that date. I just have to make sure I can be there.

12 lunch burgers , hot dogs and chicken sandwiches for sale

T2 GoC only will be play at TBD time based on interest.
