Only way I can go is if I can crash at the church.

Sure. Anyone who wants to sleep at the church please send me an e-mail at DDiceRC(AT)aol.com to verify your interest. (Don't expect an answer this weekend-I'm heading to Boston for PAX East, where I will be demoing Dragon Dice. IF you happen to be going, stop by the SFR booth in the Table Gaming section and say hi.)

Hey, so, at the moment, I won't have a deck or anything, so would someone be willing to let me borrow cards in exchange for like, $5.00? I can send you a deck list this week. Additionally, is anyone going to be coming from the central PA region who might be able to pick me up? I live in Mifflinburg, PA.

With Regionals coming up next week, I have no idea how many people are planning to come, and I've only heard from three people (including on this thread) who want to crash at the church. I need some numbers to work with, due to some scheduling issues at the church (don't ask!), so I'm asking for a favor. If you even think you might possibly be trying to come, please let me know. If you want to stay at the church, DEFINITELY let me know. If you know what events you plan to play, that would be helpful. If you want to play in a late-night T1 multi, I need to know that. (So far I have two possible entries).

The best way to do this is to go to the NE Regional page and use the quasi-registration form. Put any info such as church use, events, etc. in the comments box:

Thanks! I have a lot going on at my job next week, so I need to get as much as possible together this weekend.

I will be there, will be able to play Friday and Saturday.  I will also likely bring MonMaster with me (one of the NE Charleses), hopefully he has PMed you, since he would be able to come if staying at the church.

Hit me up if you need more from me.

It looks like I'll be there with my friend, although I cannot confirm whether or not he will play. We'll actually be in the area today.

Do you think it would be a problem for us to park our van at the church for the rest of the week? (Mostly for nights as we will likely go to nearby cities during the days)

I'll check with the pastor and trustees tonight, but I  don't think anyone will have a problem with that.

I'll be at the church around 4 on Friday-I get off school at 3:15. If anyone arrives before I do, just hang loose. There's a Dunkin' Donuts and a pizza place in the shopping center you can see from the church.

If we have enough players for T1-multi, it would be a late-night event. I haven't heard from enough players, so if we run it the prizes will be packs only, not Redemption cash, because I don't have the cash but I have lots of packs. I'll see if Rob will allow me to register this event after the fact if we hold it so players get their RNRS points.

As of this evening, I have 2 1/2 rooms available for sleeping, which is enough for those who have already asked. I may be able to get some further access if needed. Friday night will be a little tight at first, due to a scheduling snafu at the church, but we'll get full access by about 9-9:30 PM. If all goes well, that should solve all the space issues. This will be my final post before the tournament-I have to work tomorrow (concert with my kids at school), and I won't be able to access the boards until I get to the church. I should be at the church about 4PM, so if you get there early just wait for me or visit one of our fine local businesses for a slice of pizza, a donut, or whatever. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the tournament! We even had a Canadian drop in on us this year-from Manitoba, no less! (he went home with a couple of medals.) Special thanks to John Michaliszyn for providing the trophies and medals for the winners.

Your 2014 Northeast Regional Champions are:

Sealed Deck:
1st: Matt Sinclair (PA)
2nd: Charles Horton (MD)
3rd: Evan Barkman (Manitoba)

Teams:
1st: John Michaliszyn (MA)/Kevin McIlrath (CT)
2nd: Andrew Harrington (CT)/Evan Barkman (Manitoba)
3rd: Dayne Maust (MD)/Mike Iurilli (NJ)

Type 1 Multi:
1st: Charles Horton (MD)
2nd: Patrick Chaverri (CT)
3rd: Matt Sinclair (PA)

Type 1 2 player:
1st: Charles Horton (MD)
2nd: Justin Sangillo (NJ)
3rd: Dario Villanova (NY)

Type 2 2 player:
1st: Dayne Maust (MD)
2nd: John Michaliszyn (MA)
3rd: Mike Iurilli (NJ)

Type 2 Multi:
1st: Dayne Maust (MD)
2nd: Mike Iurilli (NJ)
3rd: John Michaliszyn (MA)

And our feature event, Booster Draft. In order to get an even number of players, Roy Cruise was coerced into participating. He complained the entire time about not wanting to play, and did his best to lose each game. So how did the godfather of Northeast Redemption do?

Booster Draft:
2nd: Roberto Villanova (NY)
3rd: Kevin McIlrath (CT)

And the winner is: Roy Cruise (NY)!

Charles insisted that he had never placed in a Redemption tournament before, yet he went home with 2 trophies and a medal. Sounds suspicious to me. :) And Evan got to wear a couple of medals home to Manitoba.

As always, it is my pleasure to host Redemption events, and I'm looking forward to my next one, NJ States in July. Since we hosted the NE Regional in 2010 and 2014, I'm looking forward to seeing you all in Colts Neck again in 2018!

Next year in ? ? ? ?

Well I still have a long trip before I get home, but I intend to have the medals when I get there.

It was a good tournament and I was happy to lose horribly in the Type 2 2 Player, due to what was likely an oversight in my deck building (that's what I get for building a deck while packing for a road trip and not getting a chance to test my deck.

I'm glad the tournament was on my road trip path (or at least close enough to make it fit)
