We are very proud to be hosting the North East Regional Tournament in Southern PA! This is the biggest venue we will be hosting, and I hope everyone will plan on joining us in July. This is a two day event so you will need to look for the schedule of events to see which days have the category you are most interested in. Or you can plan on staying for the entire weekend. Here is some general information regarding the tournament.

For those who are planning to participate in both days of the tournament we are opening up the building overnight for anyone who is traveling from a far distance. If you would like help reserving a hotel nearby please message me and I can help you with your accommodations. We NOW HAVE A SHOWER AT THE NEW LOCATION! We will start up a schedule that you will need to fill out and reserve a time slot for the shower.
The most important topic is food! The price of registration will cover your meals for Saturday morning and Saturday lunch. We will have an arrangement of donuts, bagels, and some popular cereal brands to enjoy while you are preparing for the long day. Lunch time will be serving turkey and ham sandwiches along with chips, pretzels, soda, and some desert options too. If there are some leftovers you may enjoy them for dinner. If anyone needs help with ingredients or is allergic to a certain item please tell me asap! If you would like to bring a snack or desert please feel free to contribute so I don't have to buy everything! Haha
Here is a schedule of events for the tournament. The times may alter depending on the amount of people that attend, but we are going in that order of events. We just added a new category for those beginning or younger players who have not acquired RNS points for Friday night.

Sincerely,
PA-MD-A Playergroup

Tournament information has been updated, including the new location for the event. If everyone who is attending Regionals please message me with the number of people that you are bringing with you, and if you are planning to spend the night friday into saturday. This is so I can prepare food planning and get a headcount for the venue. Thanks.
-
We are about two weeks out for Regionals and I need to make sure we have stock for booster. Please post if you are planning to come and boost!
-
I am bringing Blake, Charles H., and myself. Count all three in for booster (though I will be designated-Judge if no one else fills the role).
-
Thank you Redoubter and JM for messaging me on minor event tweaks that I missed. Brad I will be boosting.
Also I have acquired a box of TEC packs from faithraider that will be on sale for players. The money will go toward purchase of food and beverages for the event.
-
It looks like I will be able to get off work. So I plan on being there and I would like to do both-
Saturday Morning:
8am: Booster Draft
and
11am: Type 1 2 Player
-
Ok, here's the update for Booster Draft. It will be 15.00 (not 22.00 :P) for the following: Unlimited, Prophets, Kings, Patriarchs, Angelwars and TWO packs of TEC (1 from Phase 1 and 1 from Phase 2). I will have enough stock for 24 players ;D
-
Ray and I will be boosting....I think George is coming with us so that would make three. Also, Ray and I may be playing Teams on Friday night. Not sure yet though. He has the interest in it....not me....but if he can't find a partner.....well....
Also, I will be bringing multiple board games for those of us who have down time and are not competing....Thurns and Taxis, Solomon's Temple, Settlers of Canaan, and Redemption: City of Bondage

What the heck is Type A?

What the heck is Type A?
Its a special category for younger children. Frankly I'm kinda surprised its in this tournament.

Ah ok...

Wasn't the intention of the timing of the tournament to get newer kids from Creation to be able to come and know how the game works? That would mean that Type A would make sense to plan for.

We almost always have Type A at both our State and Regional tournament. If you have even 4 younger players and a host that's willing to provide a little prize support, I feel like it's to everyone's benefit to separate the Type A players from the experienced veterans.

Correct. I was talking to a player at Creation fest and he said that he is bringing some younger players, and wanted to know if we could run type A. If it's a way to bring in new players to keep the game thriving I dont have a problem hosting it. I know that we have a small but competitive player group, and this would give the inexperienced players a chance to be successful.
-
Looking like it's just gonna be me coming east. I'll be looking to boost, and I can help run things Friday night.
-
I am hoping to start making it to tournaments, but it looks like it won't be this year. We will be planning our summer VBS that weekend. Hopefully next year!!!
-
I'm open to either judging or helping someone else play TEAMS tomorrow. Do you need a judge, or know someone who wants to pair up? Let me know my role.

I think we'll need judges. I'm going to have to step out for a couple hours Friday evening.
-
Judge I be then. Which is good, I can work on decks for Saturday.
I'll just remind people who may be playing the category that I like salt and vinegar chips or Doritos (nacho cheesier, no crazy flavors) as my snack of choice. Not that this information is relevant...
-
Would any of the hosts be able to provide me with basic information about the tournaments? I have never been to one so I don't know how the different "levels" of tournaments work.....local, regional, district.....etc. Do I have to participate in certain tournaments to make it to other ones? You can pm me and I greatly appreciate it. Thanks and God Bless!!!
-
No requirements beyond registration, just get there! The levels make no difference at all, just determine the points and prizes outcomes and draw bigger attendance the higher you go.
So show up and we'll help you out with getting a handle on the rest ;) If you have more questions, ask here or shoot me, jbeers285, and czepp a PM.
-
I have a change of plans. I was not planning on competing tonight but Ray wants to play teams. So Ray and I will be competing in that category tonight.
-
Registration table is now up and running, come visit me! Need to see some new faces over here ;D
-
Attention Regional Attendees!!!!
We have changed the schedule of events due to conflict with some of the bigger player groups arriving. We will be running Type 1 Teams, Type A, Type 1 Multiplayer, and Type 2 Multiplayer tonight so we can plan to end the tournament ahead of schedule for those who have to leave early. This may affect a few individuals who are only attending tomorrow's activities in which I apologize for the late announcement. PM for any questions or concerns regarding this weekends event.
-
Update to the update: With TEAMs projected to finish after midnight, we are reverting to the original schedule. Booster draft will start at 8:00 tomorrow morning, and we will be pushing to move that category along at a brisk pace. The 2 player open deck categories will follow completion of booster draft, then the multi player categories will cap off the day. The times in the OP are estimates of when those events will fire off.

I pulled a shipwreck from my prize packs and I know Charles Johnson pulled a love!
-
I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who attended NE Regionals this weekend. I apologize for my absence on the few occasions Friday and Saturday. You never know what will happen months in advance when you plan out these events. I only had two hours of sleep in the past two days, but it was all worth it and I made it through the entire tournament. I'm hoping that everyone enjoyed playing, and will come out to many more events in the next season.
