I've talked with the other hosts in the North Central Region. Due to busy schedules for everyone, it looks like it will work best to host Regionals in Iowa this year. I sent in the official application at the end of last week. We plan to hold it at Grace Community Church (the same location as most of our tournaments if you've ever been here before) on July 8th. It will be a one day event with overnight accommodations available on Friday if you come in town early and need a place to stay. Our planned schedule looks like this:
Saturday morning: T1-2P, T2-2P, Sealed Deck, Teams
Saturday afternoon: T1-MP, T2-MP and Booster Draft
Morning events will begin a 9AM. Please arrive by 8:30 to register with your deck ready to check in. Afternoon events will begin once all morning events are complete. Expect the afternoon events to run into the early evening.
The entry fee of $10 covers all constructed events. Sealed deck is an additional $12 and booster draft is an additional $15.
Specifics for the overnight accommodations are being made this week. Most likely they will be at the church, but there will definitely be a cost free place for people to stay Friday night if you get in early. We can also make arrangements if people need to stay over Saturday night. Please bring your own sleeping gear and let me know if you plan to stay with us.
Come join us for fun, fellowship and the new Job promo!

Would it be possible to have t1 2p and t2 2p at different times?
-
Now that this is closer, is there a time for when the morning events will be starting?
-
I'm interested in coming, but I kinda need to carpool or attempt to convince my Mom to take me. #mycarsucks
So if anyone in Wisconsin (Milwaukee area or passing through) is interested in carpooling, I need a carpool
-
I will hopefully be coming with a group from Rochester but we would need to sleep overnight. Assuming all goes well, we would need space for 5 or 6 people. Hope to see you there!
-
Also, if anyone coming has a Michael, the Archangel for sale or trade, I'm in need of one.
-
What are the overnight accommodations? Will we need to bring anything like pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, etc?
-
First post is being update with overnight info.
-
Ok, thanks! We were wondering.
-
For those of us that aren't staying overnight, what time will we be starting in the morning?
-
I will be bringing around 4-5 people (including myself) to play. We are driving from Kansas City. We won't be needing any sleeping arrangements. Looking forward to the tournament.

Tournament listing on Cactus page says 9 am.

I updated the first post with times. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday! Glad to hear many of you can make it!

If this kind of post is only allowed in the trading section I apologize but it seems like it's at least equally relevant in this thread and possibly more so. My deck I have been preparing for regionals is two cards (Christ's Triumph and 3 Woes) short of its final form. I will be there first thing in the morning willing to give full TLG value at least in the form of a decent sized stack of promos, CoW alt borders, and assorted RoJ, possibly throwing in a bit extra since I would really like to be able to play them in the tournament. Just wanted to give a heads up to make sure if anyone has tradable copies of these they don't get left at home. ;D

Any idea what packs will look like for Booster and Sealed? Just trying to make my decisions before the drive =]

Sealed Deck is most likely going to be the I/J Decks. It's always a starter deck.

Yup, but I was wondering what packs ;]
-
Sealed will use I/J plus 2 card boxes (your choice of 1 Disciples/TxP and 1 EC/PC/CoW/RoJ).
Booster will be 4 card boxes. One will be RoJ. CoW will not be included. The other 3 are TBD.
