I’m trying to make it to NC regionals but the airfare plus all associated fees is going to cost $600. The cheapest I found was $588 (without food) and that required me to fly to St Louis and drive from there. I can’t justify $600 for a regionals, or really any tournament for that matter, but I want to go. So I can drive if anyone wants me to pick them up on the way and make my drive easier. I would be leaving from middle Georgia Wednesday afternoon/early evening and driving 8.5 hours and stopping somewhere. Then on the 4th of July I would wake up and make the rest of the drive and be to Iowa on the 4th evening time. I don’t expect help with gas or the car rental, but I would like help with the driving aspect if needed. I would stay at an AirBnB on the way. So you get to drive with yours truly, AirBnB it up and play at night and talk strategy leading up to a local on Friday and regionals on Saturday. We would leave Saturday, stop again Saturday night or swap and drive through, then finish the drive Sunday if needed. I can get a SuV if needed and make stops to pick up people. Personally I would think it’s awesome to bring some SE/EC regional players up on the way but I don’t think I can do a 17 hour drive by myself. So...any takers for an awesome 4th of July roadtrip to Iowa?

Road trips for tournaments with good company are the best, I hope you find someone buddy!

How important is it that you be back on Sunday? If you can wait until Monday it looks like there's a roundtrip for $200 from ATL-MSP. You'd have to hitch a ride with someone from the cities, but I've gotta believe someone would have a seat for you. (I'm also not sure how close to ATL you are)

I would be flying into Atlanta so I could do that. I’m in no rush to get back I would just have to leave on the 4th, back Monday. I’ll extend my dates but that means lodging Thursday though Monday and an additional day off work, which I don’t care about but is a small factor. I could do the drive after work Wednesday, stop or scoop up and finish the fourth and that really wouldn’t be an issue. I even thought of doing a drive there flight back and flights were still expensive. And I get it, short notice holiday weekend.

Just to save a post in case there’s anyone seriously interested. I would leave middle Georgia the 3rd early afternoon timeframe and drive through Tennessee, through the southwest tip of Kentucky, through lower Illinois, through St.Louis through Missouri, and finally to Iowa.
