Rumor has it that the 25th Annual Nats goes back to the East!
We are smelling upper or lower South East.
Start saving your change and 2 dollars a day. Start doing more daily good deeds towards your better halves and kids and grandkids and great grandkids for travel approval and blessings!
We urge each active player to TEACH REDEMPTION TO AT LEAST ONE PLAYER A MONTH.
Be active on the Online Gaming Portals.
Gaming hosts will try their best to fill the tourney calendar with at least one local tourney per month. Be the next new Redemption gaming host!

While it hasn't been in Minnesota for 4 years (5 by next year) the recent string of centralized Nats means it's more likely to be on one of the coasts. Although I too certainly wouldn't mind a Minnesota Nats again. ;D

Knoxville is on the short list for 2019. I already have an application in hand from Chris to host Aug 1 - 3. I would not be able to make those dates as I will be in Lancaster, PA from July 28 to Aug 2nd. I don't need to be there but, I would hate to miss two Nationals in a row. I am inclined to move the dates to the weekend before or after if hosted in Knoxville.
Another option (if we have a host) would be near Lancaster, PA or along I-81 between Chambersburg, PA and Johnson City, TN. Susan and I could catch Saturday Aug 3rd.

I talked to my sister in law last night and she said we could probably use her church next year. She did ask me to ask other Nats hosts what the cost usually is to use the facilities? I told her I would ask around as I am new to hosting and don't know costs. If anyone could help that would be vreat! I would like to try and get Lancaster, Pa as our Nats venue for next year!

I feel like it would be wise for nationals to land in Tennessee to give a solid chunk of the player base a distance break.

As the 25th Anniversary Nats, it would be cool it could start a couple of days early. You could spend those days focusing on legacy formats. Something like
Tuesday: Redemption: the First Ten years (up through 10th Anniversary starters)
T1-2P and T2-2P tournaments (morning)
10th Anniversary Sealed (afternoon)
Wednesday: Redemption: Age of Tin (everything before 4th Edition starters)
T1-2P and T2-2P tournaments (morning)
FoOFster/RoAster draft (afternoon)
Logistically this may not work out, but it would be a nice tribute if it could.

Just to put my two cents in, I'd love to see Nats back in Knoxville! I'm somewhat new to the game, and my first tournament was 2015 Nats!
We, unfortunately, don't have a great Redemption following here where I live, so if I have to travel to play other people, I vote Knoxville! Such a beautiful area!

I wouldn’t be opposed to changing the schedule a bit. Ensure both two player categories are available to all players and maybe eliminate multiplayer categories to try a legacy format for the 25th anniversary. Or maybe if we do a t1 legacy format Thursday we could still offer mp formats this day as well and do the two player categories Friday or Saturday because legacy would be offered for us t2 guys to try out.

Id be down for a schedule change although I think that it should be something the community votes on that way there are less people that feel like their voice wasnt heard in the schedule making as has happened in the past.
As for a legacy format it sounds enticing but actually enplementing it may be too complicated as a lot of the older sets have mostly been "solved" as to what is better than others which could be stale. Grabage draft is already pretty similar too. Maybe a cube format using "legacy cards" could be good as it could provide more deck diversity?

Still working on it! I did have a meeting to see the facilities. However, my friend is on vacation and can't tackle the logistics until her return next week. I'm hoping and praying for this! But not my will but His!!!
I'm getting ready to email a bunch of other churches while I patiently wait. I will keep everyone posted!

I'm starting to hear back from churches. However, the three that I actually physically talked to are unwilling to host over night due to liability and rental costs are high. I am emailing back and forth with other churches who have all consistently asked for more info of the game and the tournament. I directed them to checkout three lions as well as cactus for gaming info. But I gave them all the logistics of how the tourney is run. Still waiting to hear from several more. I sent 20 emails last night and will be sending at least 10 more by the end of this week.

Hello all! Sorry it's been a while since I posted on this thread. However, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still working on finding churches to hold our national tournament for next year! I do have a church that is holding a meeting to discuss our needs for the tournament. They are supposed to email me sometime in the next couple of weeks after their elders meeting. Sorry this process is taking a while, but I am working hard to try and find a church that would be willing to take us in for next year. A lot of the churches are saying no because of the overnight stay we as players will need. Due to liability reasons the churches are not willing to allow us to sleep overnight there. I'm hoping that the church I'm waiting on will be able to accommodate us. I have used this church in the past for work-related things and they have been very gracious. So please keep this in prayer as I continue to work to find a host Church in Pennsylvania for next August!

Sorry it's been a while. Thank you all for your patience, but, unfortunately, things have not gone well in finding a host church here in Lancaster, Pa. Rob messaged me stating that someone else is available to host Nats. I have told Rob that he should move forward with that person and site. Sorry to all for making you wait so long for a final answer to this. Hopefully, next year it will be here! Blessings and apologies!
