Title: Nationals 2011 Pre-Registration
Post by: everytribe on June 26, 2011, 07:33:41 PM
Don't forget to Pre-Register (http://www.covenantgames.com/2011Natform.htm) for Nationals. It helps the registration process go much smoother at the tournament. Every 10th person gets a free Book of the Covenant Promo. So far we have 123 pre registrations. Register today to be that 130th person. Don't forget to help your friends that aren't on the boards pre register. We have 30 matteresses that are available. So the first 30 people that pre-register and say they are sleeping in the church will get them. Others will have to bring your own air mattresses or sleeping mats.

Registration will start at 6:00pm at the tournament site on Wedensday for those early arrivers.

Those state listings look a little unbalanced.

You're just jealous that we HAVE 14 people in MN who play Redemption.

I realize that NY actually has more than 14.

...in Rochester alone.

I realize you've still got more in your Rochester....

Barely. Bany's playgroup is dead. Our playgroup is filled with 3-5 graders. Granted, there's about 7 of those, plus remnants of Bany's playgroup, which gives us ~15.

And then theres the TWIN CITIES!!!!!
With a dedicated playgroup of over 15 and a playgroup of over 30 there's no stopping the fun!
Huzzah!

I feel you there.  RLK's can be so annoying when one is trying to focus on Redemption.

Some kids at the Minicamp left their games on the table during a tournament, unfinished, to watch the Messengers.

Just for being a good sport I'll give you a signed Goliath Promo when you check in at Nationals.

I was being facetious when I complained about not getting the promo, just making a "sooo close" joke is all. I don't even use the Goliath I have haha. I mean i'll take it but it's not a big deal :P

I have a half full bottle sitting in my trunk left over from Regional.  It is a little warm but it actually taste better that way. (another spoiler for the new set: "Bill Voigt's Trunk". It a Good Fortress that holds any Redemption supply's you would ever need.)

Aww, why couldn't I have complained? Signed Goliath Promos from Bill are way more valuable than from anyone else.

Forget Perkins. There's a Fuddruckers in Minneapolis, right? I think I know where I'm going to eat during nats. How late is it open? Probably not 3am, I bet....

There was a Fuddruckers but it was closed (there might be multiple locations), but there is a Perkins just a few minutes away.

I think that might be the Perkins my brother recently starting working at, but I don't know since I haven't been in MN since 2000 or 2001...

There are at least 3 Perkins locations I can think of within a ten minute drive from the Nats location, so it might not be.

Are we locked into the events that we pre-register for? I pre-registered for T1 Multiplayer but recently was offered a chance to play Teams instead and I wasn't sure if I needed to change something now or if I could just update that at the actual tournament.

You don't have to play the category you signed up for. Chris just wants a general idea of how many people will be in each category. Im still not sure if ill play t2 multi or booster yet...

Would it be possible to come to the church on Thursday night and sleep over if I don't play at all on Thursday? It'll be a lot easier for me and my bro to come up Thursday night than on Friday morning (Through the Twin Cities + Rush Hour = :P)

Absolutely. Just email/PM Bill if you and your Bro need to reserve two of the mattresses.

You are even welcome to come stay over night wednesday and hang out thursday even if you are not planning on playing (maybe you will even decide to play booster). Yes people will be playing on thursday but there is still a lot of fun to be had with pick up games, board games, and trading on the side.

Question for the host/judges: Will Gabe's full-art cards be legal for use in events?
Title: Re: Nationals Pre Registration

Highly unlikely. It won't hurt to ask at the tournament, but I doubt if you'll get Chris' approval.

I stand corrected, Que is the only one that will be tournament legal.

Good.  Because anyone playing with Que in their deck already has enough problems.  ;)

No, plural would be correct. Wisconsin is a non-Host State, as is every other state aside from MN.

URGH, I knew I was right. I was debating when I typed it whether to word it the way I did, or to word it the opposite way (where singular would be appropriate) and then Kittens got me confused. Fixed again, lol.
