Hey Mark,
   Interesting comment about the Demon defense because at New York State...I couldn't quite get it to work.  I figured it would be a great D but it always drew out wrong for me.  Don't get me wrong when I drew it out, then no one could get in.  Also, an Altar of Ahaz really could have goofed you up...I wonder if they had one in their demon deck since quite a few cards can benefit from it.

He did get 2nd @ EC regionals.  He didnt play in t1-2 player because he doubted his abilities to best a field that included 2 former nationals champions, Jonathan Greeson and me  ;) (Ok so I just threw that last one in there)  So when he says he won, what he meant was that he had won "points" in t1-2 player.

Matt is totally correct, I did get 2nd at EC Regionals.  He's also right that I doubted my chances of playing 1st against such tremendous competition at MW Regionals.  I also wanted another shot at Sealed Deck which was BY FAR my worst showing at EC Regionals.

Well they certainly had it working well as they shut down every offense they played.  They also had a lot more characters I think than you did based on our previous talks.

Well, at least my theory was sound.  I should tell Christian that.  My execution was off like you suspicioned.  I needed more characters.

  I too would like to thank Matt for Hosting a great tourney and his wife for sharing thier house for one night so we could sleep before the long drive home.  It was also great to see many faces that I know and meet new ones as Gabe said.  Also some firsts for me as I've never played against Gabe (I've always lost that first round of T1-2P, but I won for once) and Ron Sias and I have known each other since Nats New Orleans and have never faced each other.   Our game was meanless to the overall outcome but we decided to play anyways since we have never done so.   We both decked/timed out and I won 2-1. 

An ammendent to Prof's Booster draft report: 
And I really thought my bluff was going to work against the Prof because he was concerned more about Kirk and Alex since they had site access on him.  He left the LS out in the open and so I went in for the rescue with my green hero thinking it would be an easy rescue.   But Prof called my bluff since it would have given me 4 LS's.   Great game all the way around.

Yeah, that was actually one of the most critical turns of the game.  I had to make the really tough choice of blocking you and hoping I could stop you and have enough left to also block Kirk who already had 4 LSs, or giving the LS to you to make sure Kirk couldn't get it and win the game.  But then if Kirk somehow took another LS anyway (like if you drew one), he'd win and I'd only get the tie for 2nd with you and I both at 4 LSs.  If I stopped you and Kirk won, then I'd get the 2nd place points alone.  And if I stopped you both, then I'd get the chance for the win.

Thankfully you were bluffing so I was able to stop you without playing anything, and that gave Kirk enough doubts about getting through that he passed rather than attack me on his last turn.  And that set up my final turn and the win.  But it all could have worked out very differently if you hadn't been bluffing, or if I hadn't have blocked you.

It didn't give me any doubts, I simply only had access to the soul with an Ambushed Hur, for whom I had yet to draw Blessings for Obedience (two draws down).

I wondered who that Ambushed GC was.  He would have caused me problems as I was really only set up to defend against NT heroes at that point.  Of course maybe I would have drawn something if you had attacked me with Hur.
