My wife and I recently moved back to NY from KY after we had already committed to hosting Kentucky states.
We had to drive about 11 hours to host the event.
I was wondering if this was a record or if anyone else has had to travel further?

My wife and I flew back to WI from AZ to host a Local tournament a couple times, but we were also visiting our families, so it wasn't only for the hosting. ;)

Hmm... Well if we were looking at distance then you probably got me beat, but for time, I am guessing it was quicker for you to fly.
-
And you drove only for the tournament, whereas I scheduled the tournament around a time I would be back in the area.
-
Trust me, it's not. I've driven from Columbus to Kansas City (700 miles = ~12-13 hours) and to Minneapolis (770 miles = ~14 hours). And I'm sure that's not the furthest.
-
The farthest I traveled to host a tournament was 10 miles, from my home in Ansonia, CT to my school in Trumbull, CT.
Did I win? ;D
-
Hmm... Any one else??

Hey,
I drove 24 1/2 hours to participate in the 2003 National tournament. I've never drove over an hour to host a tournament, unless you count driving back from college to host tournaments over the summer.
