Peace and Blessings, Redemption North East and beyond!

I'd like to announce the back-to-back tourneys that begin on Friday 11-11-11 at 11:11:11 am. We are also calling this the "NY Redemption® for Micah Event".

EVENTS: Veteran's Day Weekend Back-to-Back Local/District Tourneys on 11 and 12 November 2011
VENUE: ReBirth Christian Store

FRIDAY EVENTS & FEES (Local Tournament, November 11, begins at 11:11:11am):
PHASE 1: Type 1 2-Player = $3
PHASE 2: Type 2 2-Player = $3

SATURDAY EVENTS & FEES (District Tournament, November 12, begins at 10am):
PHASE 1: Tin Booster Draft = $15 OR Type 2 2-Player = $5
PHASE 2: Type 1 2-Player = $5
PHASE 3: Type 1 Multiplayer (Teams Option) = $5
PHASE 4: Sealed Deck Special = FREE for those paying/playing at least 2 open events between Friday and Saturday

DEMOS for beginners (both days / all day): FREE

Note: 50% of proceeds goes to the following cause: Redemption for Micah Fundraiser Event

The Long Island event is especially for those who will not be able to travel to OH for the "Redemption for Micah Fundraiser Event". You can still do your share in helping out. We will definitely be doing a FREE Sealed Deck Teams Event as one of the categories for those paying/playing at least TWO open events.

Factor into your plans the possibility that you may want to sleepover. The Villanovas have confirmed their OK for floor crashers but space is limited and so please make sure to let us know ahead of time by sending me an E-mail or a PM. Please kindly make sure that you are hygiene-conscious, b.o. banned -- lol. Bring your own toiletries and bath towel. Bring sleeping bags (only if you can).

I might be able to come up for the December tourneys. That's the week my semester ends, so by Friday I'll be home. I'm not sure if I'll want to do any traveling then, however, or just stay at home.

Roy- Let me have the boys check with Colts Neck about available weekends. Maybe you could hold one of those events in NJ for the more southern players. If not, we'd like to host a December or January event, so maybe we can discuss scheduling so we don't conflict.

Let me know what dates you are planning to host in NJ in November and December so that I can adjust my dates. I will defer to your plan if my planned dates will conflict with yours, but we need to act soon so that we can inform players ahead of time.

Back-to-Back Local/District Tourney 16-17Dec2011 (venue TBA) -- *Local on 12-16-11 begins at 6pm; District on 12-17-11 begins at 10am).

Factor into your plans the possibility that you may want to sleepover. You may also just want one day instead of two. Final plans will depend on majority rule.

I can't make the BTB tourneys (I'm attending a Deaf Conference that weekend with members of my church's Deaf ministry), but we're looking at a late Nov./Early Dec. weekend, if I can get my sons to remember to ask for available dates when they go to church this weekend. (I'm interim pastor at another church, so they need to do some lifting here-especially Jon, who wants to be a host.)

Probably not. I could justify gas if I was going to be able to go for two days, but I can't really justify $50+ in gas for a day of play (right now I'm in the south part of PA, so it would be roughly an 8 hour drive to get there I would think).

Edit: Scratch that. I might make it now, it's only three hours, I was thinking way worse.

To those planning to crash at the Villanova home for one or both nights, please make sure that you bring your own bath towels. If have sleeping bags, please bring them if you can.

Rules of hygiene before coming to the tourneys remains in strict enforcement.

The weekend was blessed with great weather, a dozen players, and donations for Micah.

I am not much of a blow-by-blow reporter as Prof Mark, but the highlights involve Kevin M. (ArmedKevin117) winning both T1 events. A new player, Tyler W. (Long Island), won Booster Draft. Official RNRS results should be up soon.
