Hey all,
Mark and I will be hosting the Kentucky State Tournament on June 20th!
Wilmore, KY--June-20, 2009
KY State Tournament. Host: Rob Mulye & Mark Underwood, rob.mulye@asburyseminary.edu. Location: Wilmore Free Methodist Church, 1200 Lexington Rd., Wilmore, KY 40390. Type: Sealed Deck - 2 Player ($12.00), Booster Draft ($15.00) and All four open deck categories ($5.00 each) Starts: 9:00a.m.
In the spirit of other state hosts I will open up preregistration to all those planning on attending!
I am very excited about this tournament as it will be the highest level tournament I have hosted to date!

It appears that all events are being held on Saturday. Is this still true? Thanks for the clarification!

Yep, the plan is still for a marathon day on Sat. But since it will be a shorter drive for all you OH guys to get there and a shorter drive to get home, we hope that won't be a problem :)

Actually I will be playing in: Sealed, Type 1-2 Player, and Booster (The categories I didnt place in at the Ohio State)

yeah things got stinky with mold in our apartment and we had to leave while we could get out of our lease and away from mold. We'll be down for KY states and then I just hope I will be able to get down to upper level tournaments next year.

not good for the trip we now have to make for it...
Only 5 confirmed and 3 possibles...
There must be others planing to come?
Any one from other states in region?
Virgina, North Carolina?

Personal communication indicates that Ben Holeton from TN might be joining us.
There is a good possibility that I'll be bringing at least 2 people with me from Oakdale, and maybe more.
With yourself, Laine, Kirk, Matt, and Rod all being likely that brings it up to 8.
If Travis comes, then it is likely that Caleb and at least 1 other person would to, bringing it to 11.
And I suspect that Jonathan will want another shot at winning the T2-2p category for some state RNRS points.
Throw in the Stroh brothers, the Collins, and possibly a friend of mine from Wilmore and we'd have 16.
I think somewhere in the 15-20 range is a likely turnout.

I might be coming. I haven't pre-registered because it is really hard for me to know for sure in advance what I'll be able to do. I still can't be certain but it is looking pretty good that I'll be able to make it (as long as I can find people to carpool with).

It was a great tournament, and as always it was a pleasure to hang out with everyone. I especially want to thank everyone for making it a fun experience for Blaine and Andrew, since it was their first tournament ever.
We'll miss Rob and Laine at the MW Regionals, but look forward to seeing everyone else this weekend.

Congrats to Andrew on placing in all the events he entered at his first tournament.
Congrats to Rod for winning T2 Multiplayer by winning the first round and not even being there for the second round due to us timing out.

I know how bitter that must be, but I think it is cool that Rod can wina tournament without even showing up for the final round.. That is classic.

Yep. Told you it could happen. We ran out of time and they held me to only 5 lost souls that game. Kirk has your promo and cards to give you at East Central Regionals.
