Very interesting I had felt J was much stronger. In reality I think the Ruth band is still the strongest thing in the starters but if you are forced to use the judges with that deck it struggles.

Negates are huge in the sealed matchup.

I feel more and more justified every time a sealed event happens

Maly was piloting I so....

This still isn't straight I v J packs and pulls make a difference. No cards added I've played 12 (yes I've kept track) games with the starters alone since creation and have a 9-3 adv J granted this isn't a huge sample size but the Ruth search and recursion is way better then Gabriel's.

J has Shamgar (Super Nintendo version). 'Nuff said.

Straight up, we've played 19 games and J has an 11-8 advantage (with I currently on a 5 game win streak to close the gap). The Ruth band is very tough, and Jephthah lets you get rid of a couple of Philistines with weapons before they can enter battle (only once per game, but that's enough). I wonder if I "enhances" better in Sealed because of its colors. (Have to look at my binders and see how purple/silver/black/brown compares with gold/white/gray/orange.)

The issue is you can whiff the Ruth stuff and Judges simply aren't that great. In I, both brigades can overwhelm the weak defense of the J deck.
-
John and Peter with two battle winners and a banding brother plus all the negates is almost unfair.

The results were very similar at MW Regionals. The I deck took 1st through 3rd and I don't remember the rest of the results.
The main difference is that the I deck has one more good negate and one more evil negate and more drawing. I give the I deck the nod as the stronger deck. I have won at least 12 straight games with the new starter decks (about half with each) and they both have their strengths.

I was a turn away from getting second with J. :P
