Nats level prizes

What is the current and past prize support for 1-3rd place at Nationals?

We've had some generous Redemption product donations for our Redemption for Micah fundraiser tournament and it looks like we can have Nats level prizes for our tournament which made me realize I wasn't exactly sure what the prizes amounts are/were.

Ok, thx but what about the prize levels for past Nats?  I'm pretty sure 1st used to be 45 for open but I have no idea what the others levels were.

And I think farther back it used to be a factory set but I'm not sure.

I agree that Nats prizes were bigger many years ago.  However, I don't think that matters much as I don't see any reason to give away MORE packs for prizes than current Nats.

If there are a lot more packs available, then perhaps some should be saved for future years, when donations may not be as generous?

If donations are beyond what is needed for prizes you could do a couple other things:

a) Give away door prizes so those that don't place in the events can win prizes also.

b) Auction off extra product to raise more funds. I'm sure some of the people that are donating prizes are doing so because they are unable to attend and still want to show support.

That is a fantastic idea. I believe that we should start a thread that is an official bidding thread for items to be auctioned off. Probably it should be anonymous as far as bidding. Is there anyway on these forums to create something like that where people can respond anonymously to everyone besides those running the thread other than PMs?

The only thing I could think of would be to set up a poll with options at values ranging from your starting auction value up to however high you suspect it might go.  Then people could "vote" for what they were willing to spend and it would be anonymous.  Then after it was all over you would have to ask the person who voted for the highest amount to reveal themselves (either on the thread or by PM).

OK...now another noob question. How do you create a poll. I have been looking and cannot find it.

You have to be a global mod as far as I know. You can send me any info you need posted if necessary and I can post it. I'm sure Prof U would as well.
