There are no residence requirements in Redemption. The different levels only distinguish point and prize distribution. For instance, a Florida resident can attend any state tournament they can make, not just the Florida State Tournament.

Oh, thank you. I thought that only residents of the state could attend their state tournament and so on.

In fact, you can attend as many State/Regional tournaments as you want, you are just limited to the number of RNRS points you can accumulate.

To support YMT's statement:
For the last several years, I've averaged attending 3 State Tournaments and 2 Regional Tournaments.
There are no boundary lines for attendence...just the willingness to travel and take time off.

What is the limit for RNRS points?

For each category's you can get points for 5 locals, 2 districts, and one of each state, regional, and national.

I thought that was for specifically winning. i.e. You can get up to 10 points in locals, 20 in districts, etc.

You get points based on your best 5 Locals, best 2 Districts, and best States, Regionals, and Nationals. It's the best X rounds, not a max of points (this is mentioned in the Host Guide).

Ah okay. So if I win a district, get second in one, and win one, my two wins would count?

Yep, whereas if you got 1 first place and 1038238 second places in Locals, you'd still only get 6 RNRS points.
But you'd get a lot of packs! :D
