Title: District tournament in Central Florida on 3/28/2015
Post by: whiteandgold7 on February 28, 2015, 01:04:33 PM
I am hosting a district tournament at my residence in Clermont Florida at:
10404 Calle De Flores Drive (just off of Rt. 27)
Clermont FL 34711

on 3/28/15, also each future tournament will have its own post.

The district would be $5 entry at door., T1-2P, T1 multi, T2-2p, T2 multi will all be free, and booster draft (which would cost $10 Please note I am providing packs for all participants, you may not bring your own packs.

Deck check in is at 9 am.  Type 1 2 player will be running against Type 2 Multi.  Type 1 Multi will be running against Type 2 2 player, then there will be a short lunch break, and Booster Draft and prizes to follow.

prizes are TEC packs, and promos for district are Chaldeans, also, winners promo is Dragon Raid.

There will be a lunch break where time permits.  I will have snacks available for anyone who wants.  I will have peanut butter and jelly, and chicken salad available for those who do not want to bring or buy lunch. Also, canned soda, and water bottles, and juice will be available.  For those who want something else, Publix, Subway, and McDonald's are within 1 mile of my house.

There will also be baked goods.

Also, as I've seen done up north, I will be having what was called a sealed auction.  There will be envelopes, each with a card name on it where anyone can put a bid with their name on it, and amount they would like to bid on the card being offered, minimum $1.00, and can increase in $0.25 increments and once everyone that wants to has bid, the winners will be announced and can purchase their cards at the price that they bid if they are the highest bidder.  The cards that we are offering at this district tournament are: Confusion of Mind, Prince of this World (priests), and Wall of Protection.

Please contact me here or PM with any questions.

Please feel free to post below if you plan on attending so that I can get a head count as the date approaches.

Steven, I forgot to call you when you PM'd me. Please contact me when you get the chance.

Also, I would recommend changing the title in the original post of your last District Tournament to say "PICS INCLUDED," then post something to bring it back onto the homepage. I don't think many people saw the pictures from that last tournament, because the title of "District in Florida" would not have caused many people to click on it. Just my  :2cents:

I'm very excited tournament is less than a week away.  Post here if you like so I can get an updated headcount from those that use the boards.  Thanks

Report? How did it go? I'll be in Orlando next weekend helping people move again. Don't know if I'll have any down time though. We'll be @ OHOP for Passover/Resurrection Sunday.

It was a lot of fun.  Only five in attendance.  A lot of people cancelled last minute since it was towards the end of spring break for those in high school.  We had a new player in attendance.  Its exciting as we continue to grow in central Florida.  No pictures this time.  Waiting to hear from Rob to see if we get to host states (and possibly regionals this year).

Thanks

Steven
