This was not really necessary. How about "Conratulations on your successful event!" or "Woo-hoo for Christian fun and fellowship, and the expansion of Redemption in MO!"

Hosts choose closed locals for many reasons, the first of which is trying to get judging and procedures correct before you open your doors to strangers. It's also nice to give new players a chance to enjoy the tournament atmosphere before they play the local experts who will whoop them 5-0 with their TexP decks.

well done for promoting on a Christian campus! Most of the people at Messiah were not even willing to give it a second look...

Might i add that my dad works there, i know all of the people who play, and i could ride my bike to there, and i was semi-invited, if it wasnt on a school day...

That would have been helpful since most of the people reading your post would not have known that.
