Apparently NE Regionals already took place with John Michalizyn and his group. Nothing was found on the boards about this so don't feel like you missed something. It was apparently posted on the tournament schedule site.
That said regionals will not be held on July 15th and 16th in PA. Instead that will be a state tournament and we will not be hosting anything in the 9th July. Sorry for the inconvienece it caught me by surprise when I found out as well.

While I whole heartedly agree it was not an intentional exclusion and i hope to have a conversation that will prevent this from happening again to us or any other play area.

North East sons and brethren, it pains me to find out that there must have been an apparent lack of communication between you guys. It pains me a lot because I even saw this happening but since I am not not part of your region anymore, I presumed that with lots of you on the boards, at least one of you should may have had checked Cactus' website and effectively agreed together to make PA the Regionals venue.
You know that in my heart I remain a North East dad. Let this year truly be a lesson to one and all. All of you who are more regular on the boards are responsible to keep abreast not only of announcements on the boards but most especially of official announcements on Cactus' website. Cactus never knew you guys had simultaneous Regionals plans?
I love all of you. Please make sure to let this mishap keep you even closer to each other. Josiah, please make sure you and John have a brotherly conversation especially when you see each other at Nats.

John and I have had a conversation at Creation Festival since we are both here. There is 0 animosity or division but it remains a bummer.
I believe the longer term leaders from the NE area prodominately use the cactus schedule and not the boards and the reverse is true for the newer area leaders. Both parties can work towards using both mediums in order to include the most people.

I agree. I was under the impression that tournaments were listed on both pages, so I had stopped looking at the Cactus Tournament page a long time ago.

That's a bummer to hear no one was told of NE Regionals, but we have PA States as a backup and I'm looking forward to making a return to the game!

Well, that's a bummer and a half. Yeah, we'll have to be more careful of that whole thing. I won't be at States, but I hope that it goes well!
