Title: Alive Music Festival helpers / judges
Post by: CactusRob on April 11, 2018, 01:37:03 PM
I have a couple of guys that want to exhibit and sell at the Alive Music Festival this summer.  However, they have not been active Redemption players for the last three years.  They would like to run tournament events during the festival. They are hoping for an experience player (s) who can help out with officiating.  Anyone available and willing to help out?  Dates are July 20 - 22 Atwood Lake Park, Mineral City, OH.

This is about an hour from my house.  I'd love to help, so let me check with my wife and I will post here when I know more.  Sounds like a great opportunity to spread the game of Redemption!

There's a very good chance I could help with this, too.

My in-laws live in the same town as Josh. Perhaps I could take my wife to "go visit" and I could buzz over and help out as well.

I am curious if these people would be willing to off set any of the cost for me to make the trip and get into the festival?

Talked to my wife, I can confirm that I will be able to help with this.  Probably not all 3 days (if indeed they want to run tournaments all 3 days), but definitely 1 or 2.

PM coming your way.

Thank you.   You can expect an e-mail from Keith Bartram or his cousin Aaron.

No way.  Aaron?  He frequents the Knights of Gaming (http://www.knightsofgaming.org/) game club in Millersburg OH!  Run by the one and only Doug Gray!

I've played board games with Aaron many times at the gaming club.  He even told me stories from back in the day involving his cousin Keith and Redemption...

Can't wait to hear from them   ;)

I was at this festival with the teens from our youth group.  Loved meeting Keith, Aaron, and Josh.  Two of our teens are semi-hooked.  I'm enjoying learning it as well.

Started playing another popular card game like this back in 2010 and I remembered seeing Redemption at the Christian bookstore I worked at back in college in Oklahoma.  I think I picked up a starter pack a couple years ago to try out, but didn't really invest a lot of time into learning it, and not having anyone around to help teach the rules, we shelved it.

I was glad to have run into these guys at Alive this year.  Thanks for spending the time and money on sharing this game with us.

It was a divine appointment for sure! Dustin and his guys are a blast! I'm looking forward to what they bring to the Redemption Community!
