RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
WHY NOT WISCONSIN??
There is no one in WI that is currently able to host Nationals...
-
This is gonna be awesome. Never been to nats.
-
Wow! I'm working this summer, but if it's that close I can drive up on Friday and Saturday! The Brauns are definitely planning to be there. Which means the boys and I need to work on that project we put on hold...

Any word on the legality of the new cards at Nats this year?

Any word on the legality of the new cards at Nats this year?
Nothing official yet, but the discussion on the other side of the boards has led to most playtesters believing that they should be legal for sure by Nats, and probably for most other tournaments that occur after the release. Rob has the final call of course, but I do predict they will be legal by Nats.
-
They'll be legal by Nats even though we won't even have them before states season? I find that odd...
-
thats why they need to be released to Online play so we can solve this issue. :)

I'll release the RTS version of the new cards as soon as Rob gives me the green light! :)

Everybody's gotta run a red light at some point in their life. ;)

This is great news! Can you give any indication of whether Rob is planning to give you that green light sooner rather than later?

I haven't asked and probably won't until we at least send the cards to the printer. I don't feel like things are set in stone until then.

Next Year......CA PLEASE!!! =D

Next Year......CA PLEASE!!! =D
Wasn't it just in CA 2-3 years ago? I don't think they typically reuse a state until it's been around 5 years unless it has a very high amount of players, such as the Northeast Region or MN, Iowa, WI area.

It was 4 years ago actually (2009). Next year would be 5 years. I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't think it would be in California again for awhile, if ever, though. It's too far away for 90% of the active Redemption community to drive to, which means that almost everyone who goes not from CA would have to fly there, which gets expensive.

I'm sure it gets expensive for everyone on the West Coast who wants to go to a National tournament more than once every decade.... ;)

In that case, choose Kansas or Nebraska for the tournaments. That's about center of the USA and the plane fare shouldn't cost your next born.
-
Thats a reasonable distance...but at that rate...CA lol I just hate that there hasnt been any tournaments in CA for a long time...and isnt regionals/state supposed to be happening soon? :O

That is certainly possible, but there also has to be someone in Kansas or Nebraska willing to host. There used to be a sizable group of Nebraskans who played Redemption, but the most well-known Nebraskan player now lives in Minnesota, and his former playgroup no longer exists from what he's told me. There are a few people in the KC area, and KC did host Nationals in 2007, but I don't believe the guy who hosted it still plays anymore.

I got to keep praying we might have enough money to make a side trip to nats during our big roadtrip this year. Hope and pray I can come!
