Details for the 13th Annual Type 2 Only
Redemption Tournament March 2 - March 3, 2018
Location: Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Road SW, Rochester, MN 55902
Lodging: Stay overnight in the church on Friday night, doors open at 4:00pm.
Money is available to help with traveling expenses for anyone traveling from outside the great state of Minnesota. The last couple years we have had a number of people fly in.
Cost: Free
Pizza, pop, etc… will be available for purchase.
Tentative schedule:
Friday: 6:00 Type 2-Multiplayer (2-3 rounds depends on numbers and how late everybody wants to play). Other games will be available to play (bring your favorite).
After Multi is over we will play some specialty category to be determined, possibly play testing a 2 player booster draft which could be a new category in the future. Of course there is always a Perkins Run.
8:00-8:30 Breakfast for those staying overnight
8:30-9:00 Registration and deck check in
9:00-6:00 Type 2-2 player, 6 rounds
We will be having an Ironman Tournament on Saturday for those in attendance not playing Type 2. Winner will receive prizes.
Besides normal prizes for a local tournament: 1, 2 & 3rd place winners of Type 2-2 player and Type-2 Multiplayer will get a chance for a special prize. 1st place in each category will get three chances, 2nd place two chances and 3rd place one chance. So if you won Type 2-2 player and placed 3rd in Type 2-Multiplayer, you would have a 4 in 12 chance to win an unopened box of the set of your choice including the new set when it comes out or a Ultra rare of your choice.

So far it looks like Canada and Texas are coming from out of State. And I'm assuming we will have Kansas City, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Rumor has it that CountFount will be in attendance, unless he chickens out again. After he won Type 2 Multi one year he felt picked on the next year. He already has some excuses lined up: bad back, has to help daughter move, too cold to wear his speedo, etc...

Jayden and I had the idea for T2 Teams with some rule modifications included.
1. only non-SA Lost Souls would be used.
2. Teammates must alternate blocks--they can choose who takes the first block but then after that they have to alternate. When a player attacks, the opponent whose turn it is to block is automatically the "opponent" for that battle. Each team would get one "Pass" per game where they could opt to give the same teammate consecutive blocks.
3. Rescuer's Choice would not be used

Another option could be Type Half Teams where each round is played two out of three.
