I sure didnt want them to win, but i knew they were the better team.  They played the possession game, a game that was invented by the dutch.  Dutch got mad, fouled a few people...coughcleatstothechesthasgottohurtcough... and ended up having to be careful instead of playing a physical, well fought game.  And at the end, being a man down and worn out worked out to spains advantage... Not the best game, but it was still good.

How that only ended up being a yellow is beyond me. The ball was a foot over the Spaniard's head going the other direction, and the Dutch guy had no position whatsoever.

So im a soccer referee, and totally saw that the first time while all of my other friends thought it was just a foul. There was no way that he was playing the ball or even had a chance to play it.  After they showed the replay it was pretty much evident in my mind that it should have been straight red.  But its the World Cup final... They hardly hand out straight reds because of the high level of the game. The refs dont want to be remembered as the reason the other team won the game:)

The only reason it wasn't a straight red was because the umpire refereeing had only ever given out 1 red card before that match. I have to admit that Puyol (Spanish Defender) should have got a red card for bringing down Robin (whatever his name is) but that Holland person should have definitely got red for his challenge and 'studding' the Spanish (player).
