Is it MN?

Likely.

If it doesn't have the largest number of Redemption players (which I think it does), it certainly has the largest number that are competitive on a national level and are active in the community. My understanding is that FL has a couple pretty large playgroups though.

I believe Chris is correct.  However I'd like to point out that if we're looking for the 2nd place state in that category, then KY has a shot.  Last year we had 15 players at Nats (I think we were the largest playgroup there) and 13 of those players placed in the top 10 in at least one category.

Thanks!  We started small and have just stuck with it.  We are living proof that anyone can build a successful playgroup if you're patient :)

MN may be the biggest state, but the best state is The Van.

I can see that. Out of curiosity, are there any other major playgroups based in KY?

MN may be the biggest state, but the best state is The Van.

The Van would be an even stronger state if someone wasn't bringing down our record.

Sorry for taking so long to answer, but I just saw this.  Unfortunately the Oakdale playgroup is the only major one that I know of in KY.  However we consider the Cincy OH and the TN groups to be kind of like "Northern KY" and "Southern KY" brother playgroups as we have gone to many tournaments in both of those locations :)

And on the Professor’s note, there are 2 big groups in Tennessee. They haven't hit competitive level but they are getting better. I myself in Dunap have almost 20 people playing and Crashfach has a big group in Knoxville.

The AL/GA collaboration has exactly 6 players at this time. We do however love Rex and his tournaments lol.

Technically Nashville has 4 players, even if we never see each other.
