What kind of instrument do you play? I have been playing violin for about 1 year now and I can play by sound which is awsome. Tell me about your instruments.
-
i play Air-Guitar ::)
-
I play guitar. However, I might sound better if I could actually play guitar.
-
I've been playing clarinet for almost 15 years. I took a break in the middle of about 2 years, but now I play at church a couple times a year. :)
-
I played guitar for about a year and I could only pluck out the notes like tabs but I could also play about 6 cords.
That's awsome though.
-
i play bass and Scream/back up vocals depending if we are playing hard core or praise and worship!
you know...
-
I started playing the bass a few months ago and have been loving it. I played tenor sax in school bands for several years, and I can at best fool around with my Casio keyboard.
-
I am a music major, myself, and as such play several instruments. Clarinet is my main instrument (I play in several classical and jazz groups), and piano/keyboard is my secondary (I play classical, and I play in worship and rock bands). I also play drums, percussion, and soprano recorder.
-
Thats cool. One of my relatives majored in music too.
-
-Piano for fourteen years. Classical piano from six to ten, after which most of what I did was singer/songwriter stuff. My keyboard is currently broken, but I'm trying to fix it or purchase a new one. Because of that I typically practice on campus.
-Singer/Songwriting for fourteen years. The first song I wrote (at age six or so) was called "Lightning Never Strikes Twice". It was a pretty catchy song.
-Two and a half octave vocal range. My vocal influences include Ryan Adams, Leslie Feist, Jeff Buckley, Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Robert Plant
-Guitar for ten years. Electric, acoustic, and some classical. I currently own Yamaha and Arrianna acoustics, a pre-Gibson Epiphone Casino (the same guitar John Lennon used), and a Gibson Epiphone stratocaster (very rare).
-Bass for eight years. I have a Fender Squire P-Bass.
-Drums for three years. There's a drum kit in my garage but it's not mine. Not sure of the brand.
-I was into the whole screamo thing from freshman year to junior year. Now, if I scream, I use a more rock n' roll, Beatles scream. I guess that counts as five or six years of throat.
-Mandolin for a year. Don't own one, usually borrow or play when I'm at Gibson Showcase.
-Banjo for a year. Again, don't own one.
-Ukulele I've probably possessed the ability to play for ten years, but officially is a negligible amount of time playing (it's basically the same as guitar). My grandpa has one, but I don't currently own one.
-Dobro (or Resonance guitar) I probably first picked up a year or two ago. It's basically the same thing as a guitar but it's used for sliding. Usually play these at Gibson Showcase.
-Steel guitar I picked up a year or two ago as well. Gibson Showcase.
-Violin and Saxophone I started messing around with last year but haven't actually learned traditionally yet; that's next. I don't own a violin but I usually play my cousin's sax.
-I really want to learn table steel more than anything but they're really expensive.
I also possess the ability to create electronica and use synthesizers. I have several synthesizers and MIDI keyboards.
-Might as well mention that I'm in a band, The Troubadours, http://www.myspace.com/troubadourmusic (http://www.myspace.com/troubadourmusic). I play guitar, sing lead, and write about half the songs (while Daniel Huisinga (or Polarius, as he's known around here) writes the other half).
-
:o that's really awsome that you've taken the time to learn them all.
-
I used to play getar and then i stoped
-
I play the piano. I been playing the piano for about 9 years now:) I started lessons for about a few months, and then after I kinda just tought myself with no teacher,.I use to play the guitar. I want to learn the violin and harp someday.^.^
-
I play a bunch of stuff, but my real love is guitar.
-
love the piano. hate anything before the Romantic period though... I can't stand Bach. Contemporary is good...
also play Trumpet. don't love it, as often I don't play as often as I should, and it's a real pain to work back to where I was (haven't played all summer... ouch.)
picking up the Guitar this fall.
and I sing in the shower car.
-
I sing, I also play the Big 4, I.E. Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Beri Sax. My favorite is Beri, though Alto is really fun too.
-
Blues piano and theater piano...I'm a major theater kid so i sing like a lot
-
Played the drums for almost 14 years now. I spend up to 10 hours a day playing and practicing. I play everything from tech death metal and rock to jazz and some latin. I enjoy playing every style of music. I also teach the drums.
I have been writing music for over 6 years. Again, I write in almost every genre. I have considered making a career in music for some time now. I've worked with people all over the world, and my music is played on live radio weekly.
I have played keyboard my whole life. However, in recent years, I haven't played it as an instrument. I just use it as my MIDI input for my music.

I've been playing clarinet since 6th grade. Sometime probably in 8th grade I taught myself to play 2 songs on the panio, but I think I'm playing 1 of them in the wrong key.
