Title: Vacation Notice
Post by: BubbleBoy on August 08, 2009, 08:41:06 AM
I'd just like to say that I'm leaving for Branson, MO, in about three seconds. I'll be gone for a week, and I don't know if our condo will have internet, but I'm bringing my computer just in case. If I do get internet, I'll report tomorrow morning. Otherwise, goodbye for a week! :)

Howdy neighbors, I'm back! Ugh, just finished 10 hours of driving - easily my least favorite part of the trip. :P

I had a great time there, as usual! :)  My highlight was probably the ejection seat, or maybe that big swingy thingy. Anyway, great to be back home with my beloved internet. :-*

Welcome back! My dream car has an ejection seat...

And speaking of that, I remember watching a MythBusters episode where Adam and Jaimie installed an ejection seat in a car, James Bond-style.

This is what I meant by the ejection seat:
(https://www.cactusforums.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fabbrigroup.com%2Fuploads%2Ffabbrigroup_catalog%2F292%2Fimmagini%2F292_1_large_v.jpg&hash=69029cd40d58fc8e0f141562a42e2a56b9cf5280)
It's like a big bungy seat. (If you've ever seen AFV, you have probably seen the video of people screaming on this.)

As for the giant swingy thingy, I found the page on the one I went to:

The more I think about it, I have to say this was probably my favorite. (The first few seconds are the awesomeliest. ;D)

I will Never Ride any Ride of that type.

Two Years ago at LiFest, in Oshkosh WI a Girl Died on a Simalar Ride by the name of Air Glory. I was standing next to her Boyfriend what the two girls on the ride pull the code to send them selves in the the swing and moments after they pulleed the cord there was a snap and one of the two girls was falling. no one could do a thing.

I, likewise, will never ride on anything like that. To say nothing of the fact that I just hate rollercoasters.

And if you don't ride a 900 ton metal monster going 128 miles an hour that "one life" may be longer.... wink wink.
