Steven Spielberg is doing an Adventures of Tintin movie that's going to be released in 2011. Also, I had no idea that Tintin was made into a cartoon.

Not only that, but Peter Jackson is co-directing to help with motion capture technique (Spielberg himself only works with traditional film), and James Cameron (the director of Titanic) shot some test footage for them in one of his studios.  Jackson will direct the second and third Tintin movies on his own.

The guy who played Gollum is playing Captain Haddock, Daniel Craig is playing Red Rackam.

Apparently it's The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackam's Treasure combined.
