A christian school uses "We got Jesus!" as a chant, causes controversy. Thought it would generate some interesting discussion.

The Catholic school is an all-boys school. Apparently, they said it in response to the other team chanting "We got girls!"
I think it was clever and fun. I don't see why the other coach yelled in anger, other than because he lost.

I just thought there was something a little off using a taunt like that. and it hardly presents a good public testimony, though I admit the "we got girls" taunt IS cleaver

In terms of just straight up....i'm going to invent this to get my thought across, "smack-talkablility" that chant is pretty weak, BUT given the circumstances it is still decently funny. No one would have been on the sideline shouting "Uh Son, you just got dissed" but i probably would've chuckled a little. The "We got girls" chant would rank much hire on that imaginary scale. All in good fun.

you have to feel bad for those boys getting gay jokes all the time because of their HS, but yeah, its so typical having interacted with all girls and all boys schools in the sports arena
